I step inside my house with a defeated sigh, after spending a few minutes with Megan I had to go back to work, unfortunately. If it were up to me I would have gone home immediately, but I have to work or else I believe I would have some problems.

"Evelyn!" Louis calls out from the living room and I nearly run towards him, looking at him as he sits on the carpet of the living room with Hazel sitting right next to him.

"What? Why did you scream?" I frown, watching as he takes Hazel in his arms and gets up, leading me to the kitchen and once we stand in the doorway he looks at me with furrowed eyebrows.

"What the fuck." He points to the table and I divert my gaze from him to the table with a frown, walking towards it and finding a bouquet of light pink and peach coloured roses.

I take it in my hands with a frown, eyeing them suspiciously before Louis comes closer to me, standing next to me with a frown. I notice a small note in the middle of the flowers, taking it between my fingers and immediately recognizing the handwriting.

"I fucked up."

I chuckle dryly at the words in it, shaking my head lightly before placing them back on the table. "Mind telling me what are those for?" Louis asks before I take Hazel out of his arms and into mine, kissing her nose before shrugging.

"I suppose it's because Harry upset me," I suggest, glancing at Louis as he furrows his eyebrows.

"Again? Will that man ever learn how to not make you upset?" He shakes his head to himself, helping me sit Hazel on her high chair before turning to me once again.

"Maybe one day."

I watch as he shakes his head to himself with pressed lips, patting my shoulder out of pity before starting to make dinner.

I quickly make my way to my room, changing into my pyjamas before once again walking to the kitchen. I grab a tall glass, filling it with water before putting the roses in it, I don't have any vase where I could put them in so I'm afraid that for now, this is all I've got.

"You alright?" Louis asks once I sit down in a chair next to Hazel's, looking at her as she points to the ceiling while humming which makes me laugh.

"Louis, when this is all over, I want my sanity back."

"Noted, I'll make sure that it is delivered back to you." He laughs, Hazel mimicking his laughter right after while I brush her curls back.

"How are things with Amy? I've been blabbing about my sexy and lame life and you never tell me anything," I ask him, glimpsing at him as he cooks dinner for us and he shrugs.

"If I have to be honest, I think I need a break." He tells me, my eyes widening at his sentence. It's surprising that he's saying this about Amy, I remember that he used to spend so much time with her and was always speaking to her.

"What? Why?"

"She's been very critical lately, especially when it comes to you." He tells me before sighing, a pang of guilt hitting my chest as the words leave his mouth and I part my lips out of shock.

"Louis, I'm so sorry," I mumble, looking at him as he prepares our plates and he instantly turns around to look at me.

"It's not your fault Eve, she shouldn't feel this way towards you, I mean, I thought she liked you but she just has been complaining about how you still live with me." He explains briefly, setting a bowl of soup in front of Hazel, to which she squeals in joy.

"But she's right though, I should probably search for an apartment or something." I acknowledge, helping Hazel eating while Louis sets a plate of scrambled eggs in front of me.
