After a long and exhausting day of work, I ended up accepting Harry's invitation of going out with him and I'm not sure if it was because I genuinely want to or because I'm incredibly tired.
As I step inside my house, Louis rushes towards me with Hazel in his arms who squeals at his fast pace and hits his shoulder twice. "Evelyn, you're home!"
"Yes? I know?" I laugh, taking my heels off before taking Hazel in my arms with a smile on my lips as she clumsily kisses my cheek.
I drag my feet along the floor as I stride towards the kitchen and sit down in one of the chairs after setting Hazel in her high chair. "How was work?"
"Good I think, exhausting though, " I mutter, closing my eyes while letting out a breath, "I'm going out with Harry."
"Oh, it's normal you know, work can be t– you're what?" He furrows his eyebrows out of shock and I shrug carelessly while Hazel looks around the kitchen.
"Yeah, I should probably change." I laugh as he shakes his head before looking over at Hazel, who was looking at her hand with parted lips.
"What do we do with her, Hazel?" She immediately turns her head at the mention of her name and frowns at Louis before sticking her tongue out at him.
"Well, I think she is not enjoying your conversation." I snicker, getting up from where I was sitting and kissing Hazel's head before walking towards my room so I can get ready.
After putting on my creamy coloured flannel trousers that nearly touch the floor and a white silk shirt, I decide to put on my black Vans. My feet hurt from walking around in heels and if I'm going to walk for a little while at least it won't hurt as much.
It might not be the best clothing to go out with Harry, but it is for me so, for now, that's all that matters.
I stride to the living room where Louis and Hazel are, both sitting on the carpet with several toys around them as Hazel tries to grab all of them all at once.
I sit down on the couch and Louis immediately turns his head to look at me with furrowed eyebrows. "You alright, Eve?"
"Yup." I could be better actually, for some reason I feel very nervous to go out with Harry since it's going to be just the two of us and I'm afraid it'll go badly.
Before he could say anything else, a knock on the door is heard causing me to suck in a deep breath before strutting towards the door and opening it only to reveal Harry standing there.
He had his usual black suit, only this time there is some lacy on the white shirt beneath the fabric of his ironed suit and I raise my eyebrows at it before looking up at him and noticing his hair brushed back as he stares down at me.
"Evelyn," He clears his throat before clasping his hands behind his back, "are you–"
"Ready? Yes, just before you say something weird." I laugh, turning around when I hear steps just in time to see Louis walking towards us with Hazel in his arms before I grab my coat.
"I hope you have a great time," Louis smiles over at me before staring at Harry, "bring her home before midnight."
Hazel grins over at Harry and moves one of her arms up and down while he waves at her with a smile on his lips.
I laugh to myself before patting Louis' shoulder and kissing Hazel's cheek twice, waving at both of them and stepping outside.
After closing the door, Harry guides me to his car and opens the door for me as I thank him while getting inside. He closes the door and rushes over to the driver's seat, breathing in after sitting down.
