I walk inside my office with a cup of coffee in my hand, yawning before opening the door. After leaving Harry's place I went straight home and although I did go to bed almost immediately I didn't get practically any sleep.
I nearly scream as I see Harry seated on the corner of my desk, his body facing me as he holds a few papers on his hands. He lifts his head when he hears my steps, raising his eyebrows slightly as I close the door behind me.
"Already having coffee?" He asks, clearly amused and I almost show him the middle finger but decide against it as I carefully take my jacket off, cautious with my coffee.
"Rough night." I hum, walking around my desk and sitting on my chair, watching as he turns his body to be able to look at me.
"Why is that?" He smirks at me with raised eyebrows while I take a sip of my drink with a shrug.
I honestly have no idea why it was so hard for me to sleep last night, but the truth is that Harry was always on my mind, somehow. And Hazel waking up at four in the morning didn't help as well.
"Hazel woke up really early." I half lie, furrowing my eyebrows as he shifts in his seat and scratches the back of his neck in what seems to be nervousness.
"Speaking of Hazel," He clears his throat before continuing his speech, "do you think I can see her today? I mean, when I get off from work perhaps."
"Sure, you can follow me home since we leave at the same time," I suggest with a faint smile before turning on my computer and taking another gulp of my coffee.
"The contract ends in two weeks." He blurts out, my head moving to glimpse up at him as he stares at the papers in his hands.
I don't reply, not knowing what to say about that situation. I don't even know where Harry and I stand at the moment, we don't kiss or fully make out or something of the sort but sometimes we get pretty close, last night is an example of it.
I'm not a person that needs some sort of clarification of a male about our relationship anymore like I used to, but this is confusing me quite a little bit since we've been having lots of ups and downs. All the time.
It would just be nice to actually know what the fuck I am to him. Because after all of these fights and reconciliations I honestly have no idea if we're anything or just two unstable people.
Probably the second option.
I look up from the computer as Harry gets up from my desk, looking down at me with raised eyebrows before leaning down and leaving a kiss on my forehead.
I widen my eyes, standing up to my feet slowly before turning to look at him as he stares at me with his eyebrows furrowed out of confusion.
I wrap my fingers around his black tie, pulling him closer to me with a slight frown on my face. "Stop doing that."
"Why?" He asks, setting a hand on my hip while raising one eyebrow, his frown turning into a wide smirk while I keep my eyes on his sharply.
"Because it confuses me," I murmur silently, letting go of his tie and crossing my arms over my chest almost defeatedly.
"Confuses you about what?" He inquires once again, his hand still firmly grasping my hip while his smirk fades as I shrug.
"It's nothing you should worry about." I sigh, it doesn't matter in reality. I assume that he wouldn't understand anyway, it'd be useless to tell him about how I don't know what the hell we are to each other.
He furrows his eyebrows, tugging me closer to him with an intense look on his face as our hips touch in the slightest. "You can tell me anything, you're aware of that, right?"
