Harry's pov

I adjust the tie around my neck while standing in front of my mirror, a small smile playing on my lips as I make sure everything looks good.

I am currently waiting for Evelyn to bring Hazel to my house, and the way I'm feeling is quite unexplainable. I do feel relatively nervous because I want everything to go smoothly of course, but I'm very excited as well since it's my daughter we're talking about.

I hear a knock on the door and immediately make my way towards the front door, nearly tripping over my feet while doing so. I open it, staring at Evelyn as she stands in front of me with Hazel in her arms and I contain my grin at the sight.

"Oh shit, okay here she is," Evelyn hands me Hazel, setting her in my arms before giving me her light pink backpack, "if you notice that she's hungry there is a container with fruit in it in her bag so I think that will be enough."

"Alright," I mumble, watching as she steps forward and my heartbeat quickens as she gets closer to me with a smile on her lips.

She kisses Hazel's cheek twice before taking a step back, looking at me before sighing. "I'll be back as soon as possible."

"There is no necessity to rush, Evelyn," I affirm and she immediately waves me off in a way to shut me up before patting my arm and waving at Hazel.

She walks towards her car and drives away after getting inside. I take the opportunity to close the front door while turning my head to look at Hazel, who has a small pout on her lips.

"I must admit that I'm not very good when it comes to speaking to babies, or people apparently," I inform her, eyeing her as she furrows her eyebrows at me while pouting at me.

I bring her to the living room and sit down on the rug with her, putting her bag next to me before turning on the tv. She looks around the room before her eyes land on me and she immediately looks away.

I open her bag and look inside, going through some of her toys and putting them next to her making her turn her head to look at them.

She then glances up at me and frowns, grabbing her avocado plushie and throwing it at me. "Well, you do like to throw me stuff."

I give it back to her and she giggles, turning her head to look at the tv in front of us and parting her lips while doing so. "Do you want to watch a movie?" I ask as if she would reply and she keeps staring at the tv before looking down at her hands.

She babbles while sticking a finger in her mouth and I grab her wrist gently to stop her from doing so. "No, darling, don't do that."

She pouts once again, furrowing her eyebrows while her bottom lip quivers in the slightest making me widen my eyes before clasping my hands together in front of me out of nervousness.

"What do you do for fun?" I frown, watching as she attempts to grab her bag and I move it towards her, watching as she sticks her hand inside and grabs her pacifier before bringing it to her mouth clumsily.

I feel like I'm some sort of crazy person speaking to a baby who isn't able to talk back to me, in reality, I'm just talking to myself.

She puts her hands on the floor and attempts to set her knees as well, nearly falling on the carpet while doing so. Once on her hands and knees, she clumsily crawls towards me and I sit her on my lap while she looks up at me with furrowed eyebrows. "I'm not particularly fun, am I?"

She rests her head on my chest just as a knock on the door is heard, making me frown. I know Evelyn wanted to be here as soon as possible but I highly doubt she's here so early.
