[Guess what happened?
I got stung by a bee.
Yep. You did not need to know that.]
The training has finally started.
Homusubi read books about how to control her type of quirk, even the ones that are supposed to be for teenagers because she can at least understand the idea of what the pictures were portraying.
The little girl was determined enough to study and train hard, all because of the promise she made. The promise to get stronger.
Now we have Enji, as her trainer, teaches the easiest basic skills he grew up with.
From doing what she did at first: emitting a fine line of fire, to burst it. The bursting part was difficult for her, she had to let out a sudden surge of fire. She kept on trying again and again because she couldn't do it easily.
Even if her father realized it was too complicated for her, the little girl remained to persist.
The training of her new move went on to the next few days. She would be outside of the house for precaution then continually make a rope of fire and try to make it burst.
But instead of bursting to create a large range of fire and maintain that for a few seconds, it does burst but it disappears completely into thin air.
In her mind it's like this:
Expectations:🔥→(burst)🎇→💥
Reality:🔥→🎇→🌫
She thought that not only she needed was more energy, but she needed 5 times more focus too.
Now, how is she able to get over this obstacle?
"Dada!"
Like any other children, they come to depend on their parents in times of trouble.
"I can't do it!"
She's afraid that she'll never be able to get past this and improve. She's terrified that she'll stay weak forever, that she will never get stronger to protect others.
Enji looked up at her from reading the newspaper about the billboard charts.
He wasn't in a good mood after having a read of it. It mostly consisted of the consistent and famous number one hero, All Might.
'All Might' here, and an 'All Might' there. Here an 'All', there a 'Might', everywhere an 'All Might.'
(Tell me you sang it)
"Alright, Homusubi. New task." He growled while standing up from the stairs, "Wait here."
So the little girl obediently stayed where she stood while her heroic father makes his way into the house. It took him quite a while to come back while carrying something.
He throws the 4 feet tall stacks of billboard chart newspapers on the ground beside Homusubi.
The little girl looked over at the mess with a confused look.
"This is what you're going to do. First, you should take one... Then roll it..." He grabs a newspaper and rolled it as a demonstration.
"And burn it."
The paper drowned in the fire before turning into ashes in an instant. The innocent one was so amazed by her father's abilities, but soon she was hit with questions.
"Why?" She was dumb-founded.
"To train your quirk, and you get bigger energy!" He leans down with a wide grin, "You wanted to get stronger, right?"
"Oh. Yes! But where--- where did you get this, dada?"
Every kid asked one or two questions, 'What's that?' Or 'Why?'
"It doesn't matter. It's garbage. Now you go ahead and try." He encouraged with a nod and the little girl glanced down at the pile of papers.
She grabbed one with her little hands and had a bit of trouble trying and roll it like her father did. Soon she gave up on trying to roll it and decided to try and make it a ball.
"Is this fine?" She showed him the thick ball of paper on her palm.
"Yes. Now burn it."
Her blue eyes glanced down at the paper ball on her hand. She scrunched her nose adorably while grunting a bit to use her fire quirk. Soon the paper was surrounded in fire smaller than Enji's, it's size as equal as the ball but enough to burn it into ashes.
"Good girl!" Enji did not regret this, "Now continue this until everything is gone, okay?"
"Okay!"
[Sorry for the short chapter. I don't feel so good XD. I'll make it up next time!]
