Here, have some Washingdad fluff.
I don't own the song!
As a kid, George Washington's favorite song was Something Just Like This by The Chainsmokers.
He thought it fit him perfectly. He wanted to be a super hero, but he couldn't see himself in a suit, saving lives.
He didn't know what the lyrics ment, until he was a grown man, surrounded by his loving wife, Martha, and his two adopted sons, Alexander and Lafayette.
He only grasped the meaning when he realized who he was. This brought a smile upon his lips as he pushed play, bringing his family to the living room.
"This was my favorite song when I was your age, Alexander. I never understood the lyrics, but now I do." The song started and Washington began to sing in a deep voice, finally seeing himself on that suit.
Not a superhero suit, but as a father. As a man.
"I've been reading books of old,
The legends and the myths,
Achilles and his gold,
Hercules and his gifts.
Spiderman's control,
And Batman with his fists,
And clearly I don't see myself upon that list. But she said, "Where'd you wanna go?
How much you wanna risk?
I'm not looking for somebody
With some superhuman gifts!
Some superhero,
Some fairytale bliss,
Just something I can turn to,
Somebody I can kiss,
I want something just like this!"Doo-doo-doo, doo-doo-doo
Doo-doo-doo, doo-doo
Doo-doo-doo, doo-doo-doo
Oh, I want something just like this..
Doo-doo-doo, doo-doo-doo
Doo-doo-doo, doo-doo
Doo-doo-doo, doo-doo-dooOh, I want something just like this,
I want something just like this..I've been reading books of old,
The legends and the myths,
The testaments they told,
The moon and its eclipse.
And Superman unrolls
A suit before he lifts,
But I'm not the kind of person that it fits. She said, "Where'd you wanna go?
How much you wanna risk?
I'm not looking for somebody
With some superhuman gifts!
Some superhero,
Some fairytale bliss,
Just something I can turn to,
Somebody I can miss,
I want something just like this,
I want something just like this."Oh, I want something just like this..
Doo-doo-doo, doo-doo-doo
Doo-doo-doo, doo-doo
Doo-doo-doo, doo-doo-doo
Oh, I want something just like this..
Doo-doo-doo, doo-doo-doo
Doo-doo-doo, doo-doo
Doo-doo-doo, doo-doo-dooWhere'd you wanna go?
How much you wanna risk?
I'm not looking for somebody
With some superhuman gifts!
Some superhero,
Some fairytale bliss,
Just something I can turn to,
Somebody I can kiss,
I want something just like this!Oh, I want something just like this,
Oh, I want something just like this,
Oh, I want something just like this."You're welcome, I'm not killing anyone rn.
