Prologue

5th February 2011

You decided to meet up with your parents for your birthday celebration. Although your actual birthday isn't on that day, you cannot fit any other time to meet your parents because of your hectic schedule. As you walked into the restaurant, you saw your parents.

"Oh GaHeun! Come over here!" Your father called you. You walked over to them and gave them a hug. You missed your parents terribly.

"GaHeun! We're going to give you the best birthday present ever for your 16th birthday!" Yeaaa. You were a 96 liner. When you debuted in 2007, everyone thought that you were too young to debut. However, SM stated that if Boa can debuted at the age of 13, you can too at the age of 12 as you have enough talent to do so. With your outstanding singing ability and talented dancing, you're placed as the main vocal, lead dancer and maknae of Girls Generation. However, one disadvantage when you first debut is that your Korean is lacking as you were born in Australia and rarely spoke Korean (you spoke mainly Chinese and English). You mainly spoke in Chinese to your parents as your Dad is fluent in Chinese and Korean while your mum is Chinese. Hence, you're half korean, half chinese.this has caused you to get the nickname "Nation's Foreign Friend" as you are loved by Koreans due to your talent and cuteness.

"Mum! I told you to stop wasting your money on me. I don't need anything. I can use my own money to buy my own needs." You said to your mum in Chinese. Your parents own a company which is currently rising. Hence, you were considered as a middle class in SM.

"No.No dear. You cannot buy this with money. I promise you that you will like it." Said your father. Just as he said that, there was a knock on the door. As the door open, you saw a couple with a boy walk in.

"Oh! Mr and Mrs Kim. Please come in." Said your father. As your father and your mother were shaking hands with Mr and Mrs Kim, you were just staring at the boy.
Who are they? You thought to yourself. Then your parents introduced you to the family.

"This is my daughter. GaHeun." Introduced your mother. You shook the parents and the boys hand while introducing yourself.

"Hello. I'm GaHeun from Girls Generation."You said while bowing to them.

"This is my son JongDae. He's a really smart boy." Mrs Kim introduced. The boy shook your family's hand just like how you did it. Then, there's another knock on the door and a man came in.

"Mr and Mrs Kim, Mr and Mrs Lee. It's nice to see both of you here." The man said. Yes. Your surname is Lee. He shook hands with the adults. "Please have a seat" he instructed. You were nervous. You know the man. He's your family lawyer, Mr Park. His son, Chanyeol is your friend and is a trainee at SM. Hence, you were slightly nervous to know what's going to happen.

"Before we continue with this marriage, are there any objections?" Said Mr Park.

"What??? MARRIAGE??" you said in shock.

"GaHeun. You're going to marry Mr and Mrs Kim 's son, JongDae." Said your mother in a calm manner.

"Why mum? I'm too early to get married. I'm only 16! I still have a whole life in front of me." You retorted.

"Don't be silly! Your grandma and I were both married at the age of 16 and we are both living perfectly!" Replied your mum

"But why?? Why does it have to be me? Why can't it be JinKi?" You have a brother 7 years older than you, who debuted under SHINee in SM. You were both considered as the Lee sibling with the strongest singing ability when worked together.

"GaHeun! This is not the right time to argue!" Yelled your father. As you guys were discussing, Mr and Mrs Kim managed to force JongDae to sign the papers. "If you don't sign the papers, I will never consider you as my daughter. I will also tell JinKi to stay out of your life as well." Threatened your mother. They know that you love your brother. Your brother protects you from everything and he loves you dearly. You need your brother by your side. Hence, you have no other choice but to sign the papers.

After you signed and exchanged rings, you left the restaurant. You didn't want to see your parents ever again. You went back to your dorm. You ran into your room and cry, wondering why do you have such a terrible life. I hate them. You thought to yourself. I hate them forever.
