Chapter 6-He Got Selected

You have been really tired recently. After you have promoted as Girls Generation-Pure, as well as winning many awards, you had to record for your new comeback album, The Boys, with the rest of the members. You really want a break but couldn't have one due to your hectic schedule. Ever since you have finished promoting as Girls Generation-Pure, you were concentrating on your school work. You wish that you can have a holiday. You really need a break as you were physically and mentally tired.Today, you were going to the vocal rooms to practise with your vocal teacher for the new album. As you walked to the room, you saw BaekHyun and JongDae inside. They were singing together with your teacher. You knocked on the door and your teacher told you to come in.

HyoMin: Oh GaHeun-ar! You're here early!

GaHeun: yes sunbaenim. My schedule finished early. You can continue. I really want to sleep for a bit.

HyoMin: You look really pale. Are you ok?

GaHeun: Yep. I should be fine. I'm just really tired.

HyoMin: ok. Go and sleep on the couch. I'll call you up after these two finish. They're debuting next year and really need to practise their lines. This is their first practise for their new debut.

You looked up instantly. You were surprised that they can debut after training in the company...for like...5 months. They sure are lucky to be able to debut in such a short time. You thought to yourself. Just like me, KyuHyun oppa and RyeoWook oppa. You bow to them as you walked to the couch. They bow back which made you feel strange.

You: Don't need to be so formal BaekHyun-ssi and JongDae-ssi. We know each other already.

HyoMin: Wait. You guys have met before?

You: We have talked a lot of times before. I always see them when I come here to practise when sunbaenim isn't around. You can consider us as friends. I'll take good care of them sunbaenim when they debut.

HyoMin: ok. I trust you. After all, they are the next best singers in SM.

You: yep definitely! They will be able to rise quickly as their vocal range varies. Sunbaenim, I'm going to rest now. Call me up when you finish. Maybe an hour? Please don't tell manager oppa. He's going to kill me.

HyoMin: GaHeun-ar! You're just like your brother. Ok. They can practise for another hour. Then I'll call you up. OK??

You: deh. Thank you sunbaenim.

You walked to the sofa and slept. As you began drifting off, you heard BaekHyun and JongDae's voice. Their voice are so beautiful, you though to yourself, I hope that they will duet together. If not, then I wonder what SM has in place.

An Hour Later

HyoMin: Well. That's it for today. I think it's better if JongDae sings the Chinese lyrics while BaekHyun sings the Korean lyrics.

JongDae and BaekHyun were shocked when they heard this.

BaekHyun: Sunbaeinm. You mean that we wouldn't debut in the same group? But we really want to be on stage together.

HyoMin: no BaekHyun. You guys will debut as a group. Your group is called EXO. You will be the main vocal of the sub group, EXO-K. JongDae will be the main vocal in the sub group EXO-M. You will be promoting in Korea while JongDae will be promoting in China. This is only for your debut though. After the debut, we will merge the two groups together. Then you will both need to sing in Chinese and Korean.
