Chapter 21 - Hug

You turned on the TV because you know that JongDae was on Beatles Code tonight. Although he insist that you shouldn't watch it, you could't help it but to watch it. You were desire to see his first ever interview show. You turned on the TV and enjoyed watching it. You love his dance battle with the MCs and ChanYeol. You were enjoying each part of it. Then it got to the stage where the MC told Chen to sing a song.

MC: Next, we'll talk about EXO.

ShinDong: Chen prepared a song. What song is it?

JongDae: I prepared TVXQ's Hug.

ShinDong: Is there a story behind this song?

JongDae: There was a friend I really liked in elementary school. I really want to sing this song to that friend, so I practised it secretly alot. Whenever I sang it, I was really happy and I also started the dream of being a singer, so it's a very special song to me.

ShinDong: Ah, so you started to want to become a singer from wanting to sing to a girl. What grade were you in then?

JongDae: Grade 6

MC: But if you were in Grade 6...the lyrics were "I want to be the bed in you room for a day"

ShinDong: yeaaa. the lyrics were a bit erotic.

You laughed as you heard that while he blushed. He's so cute.

MC: Did you sing it for her at the end?

JongDae: In the end, I wasn't able to. I want to do it via this broadcast, and hope that one day she'll listen to it

MC: Did you have your first kiss or anything with her then?

JongDae: We held hands.

Everyone was shocked in the room. You also dropped the packet of chips you were eating.You continued watching it.

ShinDong: Then it would count as having dated before

JongDae: yes. We dated for a really short time. I wanted to express my feelings for her so I practised the song hard. But we broke up because she transfered schools.

The MCs were making fun of how JongDae broke up with her ex girlfriend because she transferred schools. You could see that he was smiling about it. Hope that he's actually alright.

ShinDong: honestly, do you miss her?

That question got on your nerves. Does he miss her? Is he using me as a replacement?

JongDae: Honestly, I'm really curious as to what she's doing and where she is. We lost contact for a long time. She'll know that it's her once she watches the TV

You listened him sang Hug while absorbing in the information you have just learned about JongDae. You were shocked. He had never told you about his past girlfriends. Again, you have never asked him about it anyway so you didn't tell him anything about it. I'll just pretend nothing has happened. I'll just pretend...

You and JongDae decided to meet up because you guys haven't seen each other in ages. You were debating on whether to tell him that you watched the broadcast or not. However, you promise that you were going to be completely honest with him. Both of you were eating dinner his homemade dinner at his apartment.
