Chapter 13 - The Ring

You were on the rooftop of the company, talking to JongDae on the phone. It is still early in the morning and both of you decided to get up earlier to talk to each other.

JongDae: So what schedule do you have later?

You: I'm going to film for Hello Councillor at 10am. That should go for around 2 hours. Then I'm going to another music program to film for Twinkle.

JongDae: Sounds like a busy day for you.

You: yeaa. Kind of. What about you?

JongDae: We have a variety progrm to film later today. Then we have free time tomorrow. MinSeok Hyung and I are planning to go to the market to buy souvenirs. We might tell Lay Hyung to help us bargin and accompnay us.

You: you're lucky that you have free time tomorrow.

JongDae: yep. And we're coming back on Friday for a week or two.

You: Jinja? I thought you guys were promoting for 3 months.

JongDae: I don't know to be honest. I think that got cut down to 2 months. I just follow whatever manager hyung said.

You: ahhh ok. I miss you so much. We haven't even gone for our first date yet.

JongDae; i know. We will definitely have one the moment I come back. I'll wait for you at our apartment at SiHeung on the 20th?

You: that sounds good to me. I don't think I have anything on the 20th...like at night after filming for inkigayo.

JongDae: by the way, jagiya, I have something to ask you.

You: What is it?

JongDae: remember our engagement ring?

You: yeaaa. what about it?

JongDae: where did you put it?

You were shocked for a second. Why is he asking such question now? Oh well, I better tell him the truth than to not tell him about it.

You; oppa. Can....can we not talk about the ring?

JongDae: why?

You: I....I...I gave it to Sunny unnie.

JongDae frozed. How could she? he thought to himself. How could she give our cherish item to a stranger. He was mad.

JongDae: Why? Why would you do that?

You: I...I don't know. I gave it to her on the night we got married. I...I was mad that I was married to you. Hence, I took off the ring and threw it on the floor while crying. Sunny unnie picked it up and thought that it was hers. She wears it all the time now.

JongDae: Still....i don't get why would you give it to her. I was mad when I was married to you. However, I didn't give the ring away to some random stranger. I kept it because I know that in some way, I'm going to love you. I seriously can't believe it.

You could tell by his voice that he was angry and disappointed. You didn't know what to do. You were scared. This is the first time you have seen him so angry.

You: I...I better go now. I'll talk to later oppa. Saranghae.

You hanged up quickly and hugged your knees while you cried. What am I going to do?? You feel hopeless.
