Chapter 36 - She Will Be Alright

JongDae and YingXing rushed you to hospital. You were sent to the emergency ward immediately because you lost a lot of blood. The doctors came out after a few minutes.

JongDae: doctor, how is she?

Doctor: what is your relationship with the patient?

JongDae: she's my wife. Please save her.

Doctor: she's in a critical condition. We need to perform an operation straight away. Please come and sign the papers.

The doctor lead JongDae to another place. He feel your documents carefully. He basically knows everything about you. Front and back. After he reads the terms and condition carefully, he signed the papers and wrote your relationship with him on the papers. While he was doing that, you were wheeled to the operation theatre. JongDae and YingXing were waiting outside. He was crying. YingXing tried to comfort him.

YingXing: don't worry. YanYan is strong. She will make it.

JongDae: I'm so angry. Why can't it be me that gets injured. Why does it have to be her?

YingXing: no one wants that to happen. It's not you fault. If there was someone to blame, blame it on Kris.

Your parents and JinKi come rushing down the hall. Your mum was crying heaps while your dad tried to comfort her.

JongDae: mum. Dad. Hyung

YingXing: uncle. Aunty. Hyung

Mum: what happened to my baby? Why is she in hospital.

JongDae: mum. I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I can't protect her.

JinKi: it's not your fault JongDae. I know that it's not your fault. I heard from the rest of EXO. I'll be going to the police office later. SuHo is there already. He's being questioned since he is the leader.

JongDae: why is EXO so bad luck this year?

JinKi: don't feel like that. I'm really happy that the first thing you did was to rush her in hospital. The two of you go back first. You have training tomorrow.

JongDae: no...I have to stay.

Dad: JongDae, I know that you want to stay but you have to go back. You have a concert next week. You need enough energy to perform and show GaHeun what you can do.

JongDae: I understand dad but can you please let me wait until the doctors come out? I want to hear the results.

Your parents allowed him and YingXing to wait. While he waited, he started singing "Baby Don't Cry" which is what he needs to practise for the concert. As he sang, he started sheading tears but try to stay stable, just like how you did it when the two of you sang Breath a couple of months ago. After 30 minutes, the doctors came out.

Doctor: is Mr Kim JongDae here?

JongDae walked up with the rest of them

JongDae: doctor, how is she?

Doctor: the operation is successful. Luckily her blood pressure did not drop. Maybe it's due to the marshmallows she ate before her injury. She should be able to leave after 2 days.

JongDae: can I visit her?

Doctor: she is still sleeping. You can pop in and look at her and then leave. She's lucky to have you as her husband.

JongDae: thank you doctor.

They all bow to the doctor before waiting for you to transfer into a room. JongDae continue to fill your documents out. Your parents, JinKi and YingXing decided to go back since its now 4 am. After visiting you, JongDae decided to go back as well as he has a whole training tomorrow. He wrote a note and put it on the night stand before leaving the room and return back to his dorm.

Level 2 Dance Studio-10am

EXO got to the dance studio and started stretching. They feel empty without you there. However, they know that they will work even harder so that you will be able to see their best performance. After all, you encouraged and had fun with them last night which gave them more energy. Tony walked in at 10:30am and was surprised to see them starting a dance practise already. They were practising the easier dance such as Growl and Wolf. They have all decided that ChanYeol will take Kris' parts. Hence, they were able to do the dance smoothly without any mistakes. Tony could see that you were missing and thus decided to ask the boys.

Tony: boys. Where's GaHeun?

BaekHyun: hospital

Tony: what?!?!

SuHo: something happened.

JongDae: she is alright though.

Tony: I'll visit her later. Let's keep practising.

Tony could see that the boys were working harder and harder throughout the day. They manage to be in sync and made no mistakes. After lunch, Tony took the boys to the gym where the layout of the concert has been placed on the floor. He directed them where to go during each song. It took him faster than expected. They manage to finish everything by 10pm that day. He was amazed.

Tony: well done guys. We finished earlier than expected. Let's have a 9am start tomorrow. Go home and take a break. I'll see you tomorrow.

The EXO members thank Tony before celebrating with each other for the effect they have done. They packed their bags before boarding on the mini van JongDae check his phone and saw a message from you. He was surprised.

JongDae: omo! GaHeun sent me a text message.

BaekHyun: read it out. We all want to hear what she said.

MinSeok: wait. Is it to JongDae only or to all of us?

JongIn: hyung! If it's to you only, I don't want to hear it.

JongDae: it's to everyone. Everyone got the same SMS. I'll read it. "My dongsangs! How are we all? Practising hard? I just woke up. I'm sorry that I couldn't be there today to support you. My back really hurts. Maybe it's from the hit by Kris. The doctors said I have to be on a wheelchair for a couple of weeks. Heol! I want to walk! Good thing is that the doctors let me leave the hospital. I hate hospital food so much! So I'm going back to the dorm by 9pm. My fans have sent me marshmallows so we can roast them again! Let's do that tonight! Call me when you finish practise. I'll bring TaeYeon unnie as well. Keep up with the training! Fighting! Saranghae!"

LuHan: that's so sweet of GaHeun

ChanYeol: we should set up the fire for her so she doesn't gave to do it.

When the arrived at the building, they put their bag in their dorms before going to the rooftop. Tao, ChanYeol and SeHun were setting the flames while the rest of them set the chairs. BaekHyun called TaeYeon to come to the rooftop with the marshmallows. He hanged up after talking to her.

YingXing: are they coming up yet?

BaekHyun: yep. They should be coming.

JoonMyun: let's just hide and wait.

The boys agreed to wait behind the stair doors for you guys to come up.
