Chapter 14 - Acceptance

Later that night...

You got off the taxi and walked to the apartment. JongDae has told you the code before so you pressed it to open the door. As you opened the door, you saw that the lights were on, as well as JongDae's shoe at the front of the door. You walked in and saw that he was sitting on the couch, watching TV. He turned around and saw you came in. Well, one of us needs to apoogise first or else this won't work, you thought to yourself. As you were about to speak, he spoke up.

JongDae: Congratulations on your win. You deserve it.

You; Thank you. You did a good job at singing our song.

JongDae: I know. I have been listening to it every day. I have also been listening to your album.

You; So have I. I...I really like your album.

Both of you smiled. Then he walked over to you and gave you a hug.

JongDae: I'm sorry for being so harsh on you a couple of days ago. I hope that you can forgive me.

You: no. It's not your fault. It's completely my fault. I would be mad as well if you give our ring to someone else.

JongDae: that ring is meaningless anyway since our parents paid for it. I got a present for you.

He pulled out a box from his pocket and opened it. He opened it and you saw that there was a pair of rings.

You: where....where did our engagement rings go?

JongDae: This will be our new engagement ring. I threw the other one in the drain. It doesn't mean anything anyway.

You: It's beautiful.

He pulled the ring out of the box and placed the ring on your ring finger. Then he kissed your hand.

JongDae: promise me that you will never throw this pair away.

You smiled and kept looking at the ring. He cough really loudly and you looked at him.

You: what's wrong?

JongDae: Aren't you going to put the ring on my finger now?

You: nope!

JongDae: Why?

You: You'll see.

You pulled out a box from your handbag and opened the box. It was a pair of rose gold ring. You held out his hand and place that ring on his ring finger.

You: there! That suits you!

JongDae: hey! It's pink though!

You: I believe that it's your favourite colour though!

Jongdae: how did you know?

You: Saesangs

JongDae: (with his eyes open) you actually asked them?

You: no! Don't be silly. BaekHyun oppa told me.

JongDae: I'm more relief then.

He placed the other rose ring on your second finger while you placed the blue ring on his second finger. He pulled you for a hug and then the both of you cuddle on the couch.

JongDae: I miss you so much Jagiya!

You: I miss you too.

JongDae: do you know how hard it was to not talk to you for 4 days? I feel like I was about to die!

You: Same here.

The two of you continue to talk until midnight. Then you both decided that it was time for you to go back to your dorm. Both of you caught a taxi together to the dorm. You got off first and said goodbye to him. You were scared of kissing him because of the possibility of paparazzis near your house. As you enter your dorm, TaeYeon was surprised to see you.
