"Front! Front!" Michimiya called out loudly, looking over her shoulder when Niiyama's #2 pulled a feint.

Aoyuki pushed her feet on the floor with her hands stretched out, the ball bounced on her wrists before going up in the air, then she skidded to the floor chest first.

"Manami-san!!"

Manami adjusted her position and raised her arm, eyes flickering to the spiker she's going to give a toss.

"Aihara-san!"

Aihara jumped and spiked with her teeth gritted. The ball bounced off Niiyama's blockers' wall, resulting in a block out. The referee below her whistle and stretched her left hand towards the female crows' side who cheered and pumped their fists in triumph.

"Alright!"

Niiyama: 17 |1| Karasuno: 13

Aihara bounced the ball in the floor, before tossing it up in the air and served. Niiyama effortlessly received it. Their setter tossed the ball into #6, Amanai Kanoka.

Amanai spiked the ball, breaking through Michimiya and Manami's wall. The ball slammed into the floor with a resounding BAAM, before bouncing off the floor. It was too fast for Aoyuki and the others, and they could only stare, dumbfounded. The whistle broke their blank stares as Niiyama's cheering erupted.

Takahashi stood up and made a T-sign with her arms towards the referee. Receiving the signal, the referee blew her whistle as Karasuno took their first time out.

The girls huddled before their club adviser, sweating and panting. They had to physically break Niiyama's momentum since they've been scoring points one after another.

"We really have to do something about #6." Aihara said after she gulped her water down, sealing the cap back on the bottle then put it down on the bench.

"Agree. That spike was so powerful I think my arms will break if I tried blocking it once again." Manami cringed, caressing her left wrist.

"We still could turn things around." Takahashi said to the group, the girls nodded their heads except for Aoyuki who pulled her lips into a thin line.

No way we could. Niiyama's probably going to take the first set, Aoyuki's eyes flicked towards the score board, before averting her eyes to the shining floor of the gymnasium, judging by how close they are to entering the double digits.

The referee blew her whistle once again as the female crows and Niiyama shuffled towards their position, with Niiyama serving.

Niiyama's #8 served, Rinko and Aya was about to receive the ball when Aoyuki yelled at the top of her lungs,

"OUT!"

That made Aya and Rinko froze in their spot, the ball whizzing past by them and past the white line. Out indeed.

*whistle*

"L-lucky!" The female crows cheered unsurely, clapping each others back.

"Nice one, Aoyuki-chan." Rinko smiled at the first year, slightly grateful that Aoyuki managed to stop them from getting the ball.

"Yeah, we would definitely get that ball." Aya sighed in relief, putting a hand on her chest.

Aoyuki remained silent as she wiped a swear which rolls down on the side of her cheek.
