Gabriel

Ouch, that hurt. Did she really just fucking say that? She's a lot feistier than I remember. Could she really still be this mad? I have to prove to her that I'm serious and that I really do care about her. I don't just want to fuck her and go. I want a relationship. I want to settle down. Never mind the fact that our parents are married. It doesn't matter to me. Fuck what everyone thinks.

We have been riding in silence for the last 20 minutes. Finally, I decide to speak, "I'm sorry that you feel like I abandoned you. I love you, Aria. I couldn't go without seeing you anymore, which is why I'm here. We need some time to catch up. I thought we could go to Mexican for lunch and then go back to your house and talk." She tries to hide the smile on her face with her hair. I can see that I'm getting somewhere now. She quietly replies, "Mexican is fine and yes we can catch up for a little while, but I have a date at eight tonight. Where are you staying while you are in town anyways?" A date? This is going to be harder than I thought. I haven't actually asked her yet if I could crash at her house while I was in town. I guess there is no time like the present. I clear my throat before I answer, "A date? That sounds fun. I was going to actually ask if I could crash at your house while I'm in town. I know you have a bunch of rooms. I promise I will stay out of your way for your date, and I will leave Stephen alone. Please?" I can see it on her face, she is surprised by the request. I wait patiently for her response. "Yes, Gabriel if you promise that you will behave and not interfere with my life, I guess you can stay at my house. But if you start causing problems, you will have to go stay somewhere else. And don't fuck anyone in my house either." I nod in agreement.

We pull up at the restaurant and get ushered to our table. The place is decorated with authentic Mexican decor. The walls are covered in a mural of sugar skulls from the day of the dead celebration. The tables are glass with designs carved into them. Lights hang down from the ceiling causing an ambient effect. It's almost romantic. I choose to sit beside her in the booth. I can feel the heat of her leg beside mine. I slide my hand under the table and rest it on her upper thigh and feel her shift. I know I'm affecting her. My plan is to remind her of the chemistry that we had and prove to her that she loves me too. I hear her phone buzz from her purse. She pulls it out to check the message.
