Chapter 54

Usha(thinks)- "I tried everything but I couldn't stop this marriage."

Veer(thinks)- "Finally my marriage happened after so much drama, and I have married Bani, lord give me strength to bear Bani."

Bani gives tape recorder to Leela.

Bani- "Maa I wanted to share many things with you but I couldn't, I have recorded everything in it which I couldn't tell you, please listen it later."

Leela takes it from her.

Leela- "I know you love me alot, I will miss you alot, you are best daughter, thank you."

Bidai ceremony starts.
(Baba kis rani song plays)

Bani throws rice on back. She cries. She hugs Raman, Pinni, Leela. She cries. Leela comes to Veer and folds her hands. Veer holds her hands.

Veer- "These hands should raise to give blessing only."

He touches her feet.

Leela- "My blessings are with you, you and Bani are one for me, I know Bani won't get good life partner than you, I am sure you will keep her happy but Bani will keep you happy too."

Veer and Bani stares each other.

Balwant(to Leela)- "Leela ji I have booked honeymoon suite for married couple."
Veer- "Honeymoon suite?"
Tapish(jokes)- "He is acting like we are sending him to some jungle."
Raman- "I am coming with you all too as tomorrow is pag phera."
Veer(thinks)- "One whole night with her?"
Bani(thinks)- "One whole night with him."
Tapish(whispers to Veer)- "I have done all preparations in suite."

He gives him contraceptives. Veer is stunned. Noor gives short clothes to Bani.

Noor- "Wear it on first night."
Veer- "Dad why can't we go with you? We decided to live with you all."
Bani- "Yes"
Balwant- "Newly wed couple tries to find ways to spend time alone, Bani not listen Veer much, car is waiting for you."
Leela(to Bani)- "I know you are feeling afraid but don't worry, today is start of new life and Veer will take care of you, give me smile."

Bani gives her smile.

Bani(thinks)- "Maa doesn't know I and Veer have no feelings for each other, this is compromise marriage, we don't have love nor we are friends, we just have attitude in common."

Bani and Veer are in car. Veer sees Bani's short nighty.

Veer- "What's this?"

She takes it from him.

Bani- "Give me my bag."
Veer- "Say politely."

He gives her bag.

Leela comes back to her home in Amritsar.

Leela(thinks)- "Home is same but I am not able to enter as I know Bani is not waiting inside, she was life of this house, today I have become alone again."

She leaves tape recorder on roof car as Usha calls her. Usha comes to her.

Usha- "Leela ji, I wanna talk something important."
Leela- "Did anything was less in marriage?"
Usha- "This marriage happened against my will, Bani has done many mistakes that I can't unsee them but I will give her one more chance but if she does anything which will hurt my family or my son then I won't wait to send Bani back to you."
Leela- "Don't say like this, Bani is a kid, she does mistakes, you can scold her like a mother but don't say that you will send her back, I know Bani is carefree but she is very understansding, if you will make her understand then she will always listen to you, I am also here, I will pacify her for things, she has gone to new house, give her sometime to adjust."
Usha- "I am not typical mother in law who will torture my daughter in law but Bani should understand that she is not child anymore, she has become daughter in law now, she should change herself now, I am giving her one chance because of you, it will be better if she changes her beahvior."

She leaves.

Leela(thinks)- "I have faith that Bani will win heart of everyone."

She prays for Bani. Leela goes in home and doesn't take tape recorder from roof car. Recorder falls on road from car’s roof.

Bani is sitting in hotel lobby.

Bani(thinks)- "Maa must have listened recording, I have hidden such a big truth from her, don't know if she will be able to forgive me."

She calls Leela. Leela takes it.

Bani(thinks)- "Maa must have listened recording."
Bani(on call)- "Maa I am sorry, I am not a good daughter, you have bear so much because of me. Maa I know I have done mistakes, scold me but talk to me, forgive me for everything, don't get miffed with me."
Leela(on call)- "Stop it, forget about past, don't think about all this, you have to think about your new life."
Bani- "If you have forgiven me?"
Leela- "Yes, don't think about past, go and spend time with Veer."

She ends call.

Bani(thinks)- "I knew it would be difficult for her to forgive me but she has forgiven me, I have hurt her alot but I am happy that she knows everything now."

Bani comes in honeymoon suite. She sees room decorated.

Bani- "Cheap Veer must have decorated this room, I won't let him come near me specially after that night, I will maintain distance from that langoor, what if he has muscles, I am Miss. Amritsar too but if he does something then I will call security and will say a monster is teasing me."

She goes to freshen up. Veer comes in room.

Veer- "Her bag is here but where is she? I don't know how I will spend whole night with her in a room, I should sleep before she comes here."

Leela comes out.

Leela- "Driver, have u seen the tape recorder I placed on roof of car."
Driver- "It's not here."

Leela starts finding it on road.

Leela(thinks)- "Don't know what Bani had recorded in it, I shouldn't have forget it."
