"I am Mrs. Garces."

Ridge's grip on the door knob tighten, but he still managed to give her a quick smile. "I see."

Dawn looked at her watch, "I know it's my first day, Sir, and I think it is really unacceptable to be late for half an hour on my first day. It's just that my husband and I got caught in a heavy traffic."

His veins almost popped because of the strong grip he is giving to the door knob.

She's married. Fuck, what do you damn expect Ridge?

"It's okay." Nawala na rin ang mahigpit niyang kapit sa door knob atsaka niluwagan ang pagkakabukas ng kanyang pintuan. "Please." He gestured the way to his office.

Ngumiti si Dawn atsaka pumasok sa loob ng kanyang opisina. Ridge closed the door and when he turned around he got surprised because Dawn was standing in front of him, waiting for him.

"Have a seat, Mrs. Garces." Nilahad ng palad ang lounge sofa. "Is there anything you would like to drink?"

Dawn tilted her head like what he said is somehow unusual, "Am I not supposed to do that for you, Sir?"

Napamura sa kanyang isipan si Ridge nang mapagtanto ang kanyang ginawa.

Get a grip of yourself, Ridge! Damn it, she is your executive assistant.

"Well," he nervously chuckled then sat on the couch, he is now facing her. "I'm surprised that you are my executive assistant."

"You are? But why?" Takang tanong ni Dawn, "I'm sure Sir Fred gave you my file."

Now Ridge is having regrets of not reading the file Fred handed to him earlier. Kung sanang binasa niya iyon ay nakapaghanda man lang siya sa mangyayari, nasigawan niya pa si Dawn.

"He did, I just haven't read it yet." He shifted on his seat, "Dawn, I would like to apologize for yelling at you earlier."

"It's okay, Sir. I totally understand. I promise you, I will never do it again, well if ever you will not fire me."

"No. You're staying." Nanlaki ang mga mata ni Ridge sa pagkakasabi niya, he sounded so possessive. "I mean, you are not fired, I could let it pass but I hope it will not happen again. I'm really strict when it comes to my schedule, I'm sure Fred told you that?"

"Yes, Sir. He did."

Ridge feels like something is wrong with the way she calls him, pero hindi naman niya pwedeng sabihing first name basis na lamang siya dahil executive assistant niya si Dawn at siya ang kanyang boss.

Ngumiti si Ridge atsaka nilahad ang kamay, "Welcome to MDM Group, Mrs. Garces. I hope you will like working with me, I mean, with us."

Parang gusto na niyang hilahin ng yakap si Dawn nang ngumiti siya at tinanggap ang kanyang kamay. His heart made a loud thud when he felt her hand. Napatingin siya kamay ni Dawn, di niya mapigilang lumambot ang titig niya nang makita ang mga bakas na gawa ng mga pinagdaanang surgery.

"Your hand ..." he said then slowly let go her hand, "a-are they—"

"I've been in a rehabilitation for years, and slowly I gained control of them. It's just that I should not make use of them on laborious work, but don't worry, makikita mo naman sa medical records ko na okay ako for secretarial tasks."

Ridge nodded but he still has a lot of questions but it would be unethical because it is not related to work, "Ahm, and your eyes?"

"I can see you clearly here, Sir. They are totally great."
