This spell bounding story picks up from right where the last book ended, a confirmation from Gloria Connor, Iris' physician that she is pregnant. In the midst of all the chaos, being pregnant was the last thing Iris wanted let alone needed. With Vance waters following her and Stellan's every move, her loyal best friend Viktor Marcell leaving her, a lawsuit awaiting its trial and no one to trust other than Stellan, being pregnant just made Iris situation more perilous than before.
When Stellan returns from Paris to New York for a perpetual period of time, Iris still had not gathered enough courage to tell him the news.
