REVIEW –

Isobel Smith, our female protagonist, is now in the third year of her university, also the year in which she has to stay abroad where she can focus on bettering her weakest language which happens to be Italian. Bella has to live in Bologna, Italy to better our knowledge of the language Italian and also to ensure she gets her degree. Isobel now realises that what real long distance relationship entails and what she was considering to be long distance in her first university year was nothing compared to what she was experiencing now.

Isobel and Nathan both knew that going from living together to living in different countries was a risky feat yet they still went along that way. And clearly both were encountering the consequences. Bella is living with Jasmine, a girl as fiery as her hair, for the year abroad. She decided to share a flat so that she wasnt alone all the time. It was just her luck that Jasmine, another British Erasmus student messaged her for sharing the flat. Bella was happy living with Jasmine for she was a welcome distraction from University and her missing Nathan.

During her time in Bologna she met four other British Erasmus students who Jasmine had bumped into one day. Eventually they all became close, which mostly happens because when in a foreign country, individuals of same nationality seem to gravitate to each other. Bella had already anticipated that her year abroad would be hard for her heart and mind yet the hard challenges managed to knock her off her feet. With nearly 1200 miles between her and Nathan, disconnection between each other would not do well for either of them. Still it happened, under the influence of others or perhaps their own mind, who knows.

Nathan Hunt, our male protagonist, has worked as a government translator for the last two years and he recently got promoted to a department full of people more his age. Even though he didn't wanted to fraternise more with his colleagues, Bella encouraged him to mingle with them. Nathan knew that forming friendships at his workplace would be a hard feat since he wanted to leave work at work and that would not be a probability if he became friends with his colleagues, but not wanting to isolate himself in the office he decided to take up Bellas advice.

Louisa, a friend of Nathans, was no longer Nathans assistant for she had been promoted to another department in the office. Nathan as always presented a bright and positive façade in front of Bella whenever any of the long distance worries were catching upto her. All he ever wanted was to keep Bella happy and safe, so in order to sometimes protect her he kept certain things from her but this habit would probably lead to a harmful explosion of emotions in the future.

Our male protagonist is an unnaturally kind creature who believes quite strongly in providing people with second chances. Nathan was of the opinion that if he, who wasn't a particularly good person in the past, was going to get to live an incredible future in the past then others too deserved another chance. But what Nathan failed to notice in the blindness of gratefulness was that some people are just way past the line of forgiveness and second chances. You might just are being kind to someone but people might interpret it to be something else and well Nathan has to learn that and also that Ignorance might be bliss but not always.

The story is set in Bologna and London. The writing as usual didnt disappoint and was done in an intricate manner. The characters of the last book in the trilogy were constructed flawlessly. The plot was done nicely and the quite anticipated ending from the start of Book 1 didn't disenchant a bit. It was a ending well deserved by our protagonists.

AUTHOR APPRECIATION –

Tessa Lovatt has a bewitchingly beautiful mind. She hopes to be a full time writer one day and I hope her hopes come true because she has incredible potential.

She has an amazing penmanship and has used it wisely to create multiple magnificent stories and some probably in the process of creation.

Read this book to understand that the art of communication never goes out of style and it is especially found to have a profound impact in relationships. Also this book shows that if you truly love someone and the feelings are reciprocated from the other side, things work out fine at the end.
