Grace Ellard, our female protagonist, is a healer of twenty two years of age. She has been living alone for the past five years healing people and aiding them back to good health. And that is exactly what Miss Grace did that snowy evening when she saw a tall dark figure stumbling through the snow laden roads, against the better judgement, she crossed the road to help the injured man but he had already fallen face first into the snow.
So, with little to no assistance from the man himself, she took him to her home to heal him without an ounce of knowledge about the strangers identity.
Lord William Shire, Duke of Edinburgh, our male protagonist, was mutilated by some robbers on his way back to Edinburgh, their reason of inflicting injury on the duke still unclear. With no money and his horse lost Mr. Shire decided to reach the nearest town somehow, which happened to be Miss Ellards town.
Maybe fate was playing at something..............maybe it was all destined.
The writing was immaculate, like I said in the previous review the description of most banausic things in an ethereal way was jaw-droppingly awesome. The setting was good as well. The plot and themes were good but I feel it could have been a little more enticing. The characters were okay I couldn't quite get a feel of them out of their love story, say what are they passionate about beside themselves I would have loved if the author had detailed more of Grace's healer qualities and William's dukedom and how he handled things. Perhaps to get more of an idea of them as a person. The story was lacking just a bit in the awesomeness factor.
