( If you haven't read the first book of this series, do not proceed further since this review contains spoilers and also you wont be able to understand what is going on :D )
Our dear and stubborn headed protagonists have found their way back to each other after going through painful six months of separation due to Norman blackmailing Giovanni Martinelli about a secret that can make him go bankrupt and his family homeless. And the whole world can't be more exuberant about it either resulting in paparazzi following them everywhere to catch their every move.
Scarlett and Giovanni are a lot different in many ways and with the whole world watching their every move closely finding each other back to the people they used to be, before they were set on a rollercoaster of emotions , wont be easy. Scarlett has finally quit NWPR after she has been revealed that her whole existence was a lie. Norman White , the person who took chance on her at the age of 17 has told her that he is her real father. And also he has stage 4 Pancreatic cancer. Still shocked to her core with this piece of information, she has some hard time wrapping her mind around it. To get away from this world Giovanni whisks Scarlett away to Italy to meet his family and also so they can have some time away from all the drama that seems hellbent on following them.
But alas the drama still seems to follow them like their own shadow tailing behind them. With Scarlett's nightmares, Aunt Marie's probing questions and the media still following them Giovanni is also worn out. By the time they return to California all happy and glowing with glee, they are sucked right back into the very mess they tried to leave behind.
With Dixon Routh again trying to destroy her life, Normans worsening condition with every day and Giovannis career at stake, Scarlett is left exhausted and without any will to fight.
Things are coming her way thats certain whether they are good or bad is left upon the fate of hands. They may not be what she expected but what she needed all along but wasnt able to gettill now.
After declaring their love to the entire world will Giovanni and Scarlett be able to get the happy ending of their not so fairytale love story ? Will they get their happiness ?
