REVIEW-

Set in Belfort , Louisiana this is a story of a silver haired Lucy Monroe , made an outcast for something that she inherited from her family .

                            Lucy Monroe , the female protagonist leads a simple life in Belfort where she restores old furniture for an antique shop from time to time , something she is vehemently passionate about . Lucy believes in restoring the old things and bringing life to them . Since she is quite a pariah in Belfort getting work is a monstrous feat in itself . Lucy's family has known to have supernatural ability something she herself possesses . She has the gift of sight , she has the ability to look into ones future but the condition lies , if she herself is present at the moment of a life-changing decision . Her gift comes into play on eye contact or touch with the person . Though Lucy has had this gift of hers since childhood she still doesn't understands how it works .

                        Since sometimes she sees some awful things and being a kind – hearted soul she tries to tell the people about it but they just look at her as if she has grown two heads , part of the reason of being made an outcast . Her life isn't what one would call easy . Being someone the city mocks and bullies at a regular basis is quite the task . So she tries to maintain a low profile , keeps a hat on her head 24/7 to hide her beautiful silver gray hair ( a family trait in Monroes for someone who possesses the gift ) as it is taken as a mark for the devil . She lives with her grandmother , Etta Monroe , who also bears the family gift , at the end of a dock since Etta is an obstinate women who refuses to live in the city leaving her childhood home .

                 Thomas Kane , Lucy's best friend is only one othet than Etta who believes her gift . Alas, Thomas pregnant wife Hope is quite wrapped in the town rumours and dislikes Lucy and also is quite jealous of her . Thomas is a contractor in the city but his business hasnt quite yet taken off . Lucy knows it is due to his association with her but Thomas always denies it.

                       Zebadiah Abbott , our male protagonist , is a wealthy businessman from New York who has for some unknown personal reasons decided to move his business to New Orleans . He buys the LeClair Mansion , a rumoured haunted mansion in Belfort . Now this LeClair Mansion plays a very important in bringing together the story or more specifically our both protagonists.

                          Two different teams of contractors have been hired for the full restoration of the property but they both failed within a month of their job . Zebadiah hires Thomas Kane who decides to take in Lucy as well . Since they both have played at that very mansion as kids and the house knows them well . Lucy can feel the spirit of the house, which is of a grandmother, part of the reason why Thomas decides to take her as well since she understands these things . And also the mansion had quite a lot of old furniture that needed restoration thus Lucy's passion coming into use.

                          The fateful day Lucy meets Zebadiah She experiences three visions and that too all of herself and Zeb , which is a big issue since she has never seen herself in a vision before. Zebadiah also seems utterly taken with the gray eyed and silver haired beauty . He almost feels as if he has seen her before , touched her before but comes to the conclusion that he has never met this girl .

                       Throughout the restoration of the house , Lucy and Zebadiah find themselves gravitating towards each other . But with the rumours of the city , the Monroe Curse , Zeb's lack of commitment to a woman and evil forces all around will they be able to become each others or be left alone by the hand of destiny ?
