Cora Scott is a fiery haired girl who is striving hard to make ends meet since her so called Aunt Mable refuses to do so . Coras parents adopted her at the mere age of six months but her and her mother were not particularly the favourites of Aunt Mable . And she (Aunt) made sure Cora was well aware of the fact . Shortly , before her father died Aunt Mable managed to coarse him into making the house and money in her name since his 21 year old daughter was unable of taking care of all the assets of his possessions .
Margie and Leon are the old couple who worked under Phillipe , Coras father and they continued to do so for Cora too . Aunt Mable being conniving and a mean thing , reduced the house hold allowance to an extent where putting food on the table became a feat of challenge . Thus , Cora with her talent of drawing beautiful things had to take up a job to provide food to all .
Now Aunt Mable was on to another one of her evil monstrosities , she had asked her late husbands brothers son or her nephew , Garrett Reed to come and look over the house until she dies and the reason given by her was that her niece was unfit of taking care of the house because she was busy throwing all of her (Aunt Mables ) money on her friends.
Garrett Reed wasn't a least bit interested in leaving his business behind to come check up on his Aunts profligate of a niece . But with a little insistence from his mothers side he decides to do what he has been asked.
He doesn't trusts her and she thinks of him as a Selkie .He thinks she is a fairytale princess from the moment he lays his eyes on her . Will they be able to work past the mist of distrust spread by Aunt Mable or get stuck in it ?

Sarah Beth is an incredible Author who takes time to plot her stories and come up with phenomenal twists and turns .
She has an exemplary penmanship which she uses wisely to draw in readers like a moth to her flame. I have read mostly all of her stories and have been left shell shocked and spellbound by her stories . They are beautifully written and leave you feeling happy to the core.
