Set in the New York City, this story follows Iris Tremaine, our female protagonist, CEO of Tremaine Franchises as she finally finds someone who makes her feel, someone who makes her heart explode with love and being a powerful woman, someone who takes her for who she is, a fashion icon, an enigma in the fashion industry and the whole world.
We meet Iris Tremaine in the first chapter where she is feeling quite betrayed and disappointed since she has already been entitled to the fact Gwyneth, her friend has been screwing her boyfriend Marcus of two years for about six months now. She is at a party thrown for her by Gwyneth on her birthday and having had enough of bullshit she calls out Gwyneth when she tries to tell Iris that she(Iris) is being ungrateful.
Arriving home to the mansion she brought for her and Marcus, Iris packs up everything that she thinks belongs to Marcus and tells Viktor Marcell, her assistant/ best friend to call the movers. Being a fashion icon and a successful one at that always comes as trouble when it comes to being in a relationship with egotistical men. Iris has always faced such problems and thus exactly the reason why she never found herself saying I love you to anyone romantically.
Till the time Marcus arrives home she decides to head over to her safe and calming place, Marcos laundry mat in Brooklyn owned by Gustavo, a sweet and lively chubby man. It is at that place where she meets the homeless man, Stellan Reid, our male protagonist, who should have been just another one of the people who live on the roads but fortunately he wasnt. He was the man who was going to provide love, safety and comfort to Iris for which she has longed for the last 26 years. He was the man who knew she was rare and a woman that has faced troubles.
But the question arises when Stellans past reveals itself in a disgustingly glorifying way and also a past that has the power alone to throw her world off its axis, will Iris choose to stay?
Will Stellan chose to stay?
Will they fight for each other against the world, their family and their friends?
