The story begins with a 28 year old Scarlett Bardot , our female protagonist , explaining the members of Norman White Public Relations, New Yorks most prestigious PR firm, that she has just acquired the biggest client possible for their firm. As if her being the Vice-president of the company wasn't enough sour for the atrocious male population of her company, now she has landed them an even bigger opportunity so with a heavy heart mostly everyone starts clapping for her voraciously, some smiles passed on to her as congratulations were genuine and some ranking out as fake. The biggest Client being Giovanni Martinelli, a fashion designer who produces high-end Italian cut suits.
Thus begins the journey of Scarlett and Giovanni to venture into each others life and change their life completely for good ..........or maybe bad.
Our protagonists meet each other for the first time when Scarlett goes over to Giovanni's studio in Los Angeles to talk formally to him for the first time so he can understand what he is PR firm is like and Scarlett can get a look at what she is going to be dealing with, if the deal fixes.
Unfortunately, Giovanni isn't as polite or romantic one would expect, given his womaniser reputation, since he blatantly insults Scarlet for her fashion sense or lack there of. And Scarlet being the strong headed and prideful woman , straightens him out by giving him a vivid description of his colourful life and telling him "........I'd would also suggest you focus on what I can do for you rather than the type of suit I wear or how much makeup I can attempt to cake on my face." As well as telling him that if he cannot do what she requests of him, then she'll see herself out for she doesn't want to waste anymore of her time.
As she is about to step out of the room , a voice , Giovannis voice rings out with words, "You're hired."
Now Scarlett Bardot is the publicist of Giovanni Martinelli and she will do anything to keep him soaring high in the fashion world . But as they meet up the next day to discuss more about their dealing with Gio's career. They both are quick to realize that being a publicist and client will not be as easy as they sought it out to be. Words are thrown around and Scarlett gets hurt once more though she tries not to show it. But when she abruptly leaves for her hotel, it becomes clear to her that she might me caring more about this strange but handsome man's opinion than she should given he is just her client .
Scarlett reaches her hotel , after denying her driver to drive her to the hotel, to find Giovanni already at her hotel room ready to apologize for his incessant rude behaviour. They talk , they talk well for hours and Giovanni manages to persuade Scarlett that they try a more sexual route for themselves without having the fear of what ifs.
A contract is signed , rules are enforced and both parties agree to the conditions. But what happens when rules are broken from the start and they begin to become more, something Scarlett has remained aloof from since her divorce. Will they be able to keep this contractual relationship hidden or will it be exposed to the whole world and shatter their reputations ?
