Moving his eyes off of Adriel he saw the girl behind him. Staring at her in confusion he wondered why she was here and what Adriel was doing with her.
"Anya has sent word that the commander has asked for you in Polis." Switching his eyesight from the man to the girl he continued, "I won't tell anyone, but you need to be more careful." He said in his own language as he turned back and walked through the woods.
After a few moments of silence he turned his head and looked at the girl behind him. She looked scared, almost as if she were about to die.
"Are you okay?" He laughed
"Shut up." She responded, squinting her eyes as he continued laughing. "What did he say?"
"The commander has asked for me." He responded after he took a deep breath from all the laughing.
Before she could say anything else, the dark skinned man came back running.
"Four reapers are coming. They heard you." He said while taking out his sword
"What the hell is a reaper?" She asked with wide eyes.
"It doesn't matter. Just kill them." He said, now serious her gave her two throwing knives and a sword. He made it seem so easy. She didn't want to kill anyone again but the way they described them made the reapers seem like monsters. And maybe they were right.
After a few seconds, nothing happened, but then out of the woods came four huge bodies. They looked around and saw the three of them, they let out an animalistic growl and charged at them.
One of the reapers stared at Athena and she stared back. They were different in many ways, he looked at her in hunger, like he literally wanted to eat her but she looked at him in fear. She was skinny from lack of food and he was big and strong.
He ran towards her and once he was close enough he jumped up with his sword above his head about to kill her but she moved out the way quickly.
She readjusts her grip and gets ready for another attack.
It's like a giant knife, how hard could it be.
This kept on going for a bit. He would swing at her, and she would move out the way. This was her first time fighting someone and Adriel never taught her to use a sword, so she didn't have any attacks to use.
In the process of them fighting, the reaper managed to cut her cheek a bit, making her black blood ooze out.
The reaper then swings his sword down again but she steps out the way and slices his hands, making him drop his sword and wince.
