What more did I have to lose. Finn and Bellamy thought I was dead. The rest were captured and killed. My parents were dead. At Least their death was quick unlike the delinquents at the dropship. Adriel would look for me, but Bellamy and Finn would tell him what happened. Maybe this woman was lying, maybe they're all alive and looking for me.
I doubt it
Adriel had told me tales of the mountain men. How they captured his people and never returned them.
"I'll help you return your people, but I want something in return." The woman said. Her skin was dark and like chocolate. It was smooth in a way, a small cut resting on the left side of her chin. Her deep brown eyes stared into mine, waiting for an answer.
What else is there to lose.
"Fine... I'm Athena."
"Anagosta."

"I was born trikru. Both my parents had died of plague. I was taken in by a family who had a young girl, I was probably like 3 years older than her."
"What was her name?" I asked softly. We had been talking about our pasts for a while. I told her about the ark and family. She was very interested in my life as I was hers. It felt relieving to finally talk to someone.
"Lexa." She softly said before continuing, "she was a natblida like you. She was trained to be a warrior her whole life. But she always had time for me." She smiled at the memory.
"Where is she now?"
"She's the commander now." She said while staring off.
"Why aren't you with her?"
"When I was 14 I was kidnapped. The Azgeda queen tried to kill Lexa but I told her run while I fought them off. Ever since then the ice queen had been trying to make me her little assassin." Anagosta said with a scowl. This woman definitely had an interesting past.
"Anyway, I had fallen in love with the prince and he was banished. Whenever I'd refuse something the queen would do awful things but the prince was always there to protect me. Until he was banished and I fled in fear she would kill me, or do worse."
"And now you want revenge?" I ask.
"I want her dead."
"We start training once your stitches heal." She states, handing me a jar of green liquid. Before muttering something and walking off.-☽ 𖤍𖤓𖤍 ☾-
Everyday was the same. We would wake up and eat. She'd take me outside in the freezing cold in nothing but the dress I was wearing and an all black cloak. We'd do a bit of archery every day followed by knife throwing so I wouldn't open my stitches.
It was pretty fun and she would give me tips. After the third day I could definitely see some progress. Instead of hitting the side of the red circle I would now hit the center of it.
"What will we do when I get better?" I ask as I get ready to pull the string. My fingers were cold and frozen, there was a leather glove on my right hand to keep myself from cutting my fingers with the bow.
"We will hunt down Azgeda armies." Is all she says before nodding her head as a sign to continue.
"So, the prince." I say before letting go of the arrow, letting it land in the red circle making me smirk.
"What was his name?"
"Roan." She says, her eyes staring into mine deeply. I could tell she still cared for him even if she tried putting a mask. It was something I could feel, I was always good at reading people.
"Did you ever try looking for him?"
"I don't like depending on people because they'll always leave."
"People make you stronger." I respond before throwing a knife, making the piece of metal lodge itself into the arrow, splitting the wood.
"People and love make you weak. At the end of the day, all you need is yourself. And that has to be enough." She says before walking into the cabin.
She was an odd woman. She had shared a few things with me but never went into details like I had. She had called Adriel gonaheda many times. Supposedly he had moved to polis, made himself a title. He finally became a war chief, I was proud of course and as much as I wanted to go see him, I'd only ruin it. He was finally getting what he wanted.

"Put this on." The dark skinned woman says as she drops a pile of clothes onto my bed. It had been more than a week now since she had helped me. The clothing was all black, made of leather. It was kind of like a dress, but for a warrior. It stopped mid thigh with the leather cloth looking like leaves on top of one another. There were a pair of leggings with it to cover my legs from the cold. It had a mask with it, kind of like adriels and a hood.
It was very comfortable and warm as I put it on. It fits me well and as I move around it feels very stretchy. It had many pockets where I hid knives and one knife in each boot. The dagger Adriel had given me was in a leather sack on the side of my hip while his sword lays on my back.
As I walk outside I am met by Ana holding her sword. She herself was in a suit just like mine but with pants instead of a dress.
"We work on swords now."

Her blade neared my face as I ducked, I swung at her and she moved out of the way every time. I started quickening my pattern as I saw her slow down. I knock her blade out of her hand and bring the blade towards her neck.
"I see the gonaheda taught you well."
"He did." Was all I respond as I sheath my sword.
"We attack tomorrow. There's an army coming from the northwest. They should be an easy kill." She said before walking back inside.
That night was a hard night. I tossed and turned thinking about how we would kill a lot of people. It was about 100 against 2. Ana had a lot of hope but I had butterflies flying around in my stomach. My knees were weak with nervousness.
Authors note
I'm so bad at this. I'm the least creative person out there so this is kind of hard. But Atleast I'm trying.
