Shouts were heard from everywhere as people struggled to help others. Buildings were blown apart and people were weeping for the ones who had died. Most of the people were burned and others crushed by large rocks. The ones who weren't hurt were trying to help those injured.
Athena, Octavia, and Lincoln had rushed to help. Their minds ignored the burning pain of where they were hit when the explosion happened. All they could think of right now was helping those stuck under the buildings.
"Lincoln be careful. It's not stable." Octavia warned him as he jumped onto some wood to check if anyone was under it.
"They're down here." Lincoln replied as he tried pushing the wood away but it was too heavy.
"Do you hear someone?" Abby called out while crouching next to an injured woman who groaned in pain.
"Abby, I'm sure Clarke's fine." Octavia said as she ran over to the older woman. Abby only nodded at them, showing no worry of her daughter.
As the two women talked, Athena and Lincoln searched the rubble for any signs of life.
Dust covered the face of Athena as she hurriedly but carefully searched the rubble. She had a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach as her nails clawed the rocks. Cuts littered her hands from the jagged ends. She had not seen Adriel anywhere and she was starting to get worried.
As she continued to remove rocks, a cough was heard from beside her. Quickly she removed the rocks only to see a familiar face.
"Indra!" The blonde called out as Lincoln ran over to help remove the bigger rocks.
Lincoln took the warriors arms and pulled her out from under the rocks. He let out a loud groan as he pulled the warrior out.
"Put me down reaper!" Indra shouted to Lincoln before Athena checked for any serious injuries.
Indra smacked the blondes hands away before letting out a groan and got up. With labored breaths she took a look around. She could see the fire that illuminated the camp. She could smell the fiery scent of burnt bodies and the sound of multiple groans and shouts of her people.
As Indra continued to look around, a bullet flew into the air and pierced her shoulder. She fell down as more bullets flew past the small group.
"The shooter is in the woods." Athena replied as they all hid behind a large boulder.
"What the hell do we do?" Octavia asked before the grounder beside them ran away, only to be shot down by the assassin.
"Obviously not that." Athena huffed out as the man groaned in pain.
