The secret passages running through the towers led the group of five towards the flame keepers temple. Athena had no time to look around, too busy killing three guards together with Adriel while the rest made sure the room was secure. Murphy wouldn't let them kill the woman with the markings on her face despite everyone telling him it was dangerous. The room held an orange glow due to the many candles and Athena ignored the puzzled girl at the end of the room. Instead, she focused on the female dancing on the walls.
The first commander, Bekka Pramheda. The original natblida.
She remembered Adriel telling her stories of the woman who came down in the same pod that stood in the middle of the room. It looked almost identical to the pods from the ark, just more old.
"Crap. It's about to go. Just tell me where to hit this thing." Murphy complained once more as Adriel and Athena stood in front of the doors, listening to the people on the other side throw themselves against it.
Pike had been focused on the bright blue chip, figuring out a safe way to destroy it. They would've smashed it right now if the other woman didn't tell them it was protecting the city from radioactive waves.
Pike held his hand up, "Indra, the gun. Please."
Indra hesitantly grabbed the gun, as if it was contaminated. Her mind yelled at her, fearing for all the stories she heard of the mountain. "Either we do this now, or we run."
Whilst Emori tried talking Murphy out of it, the world around Athena grew quiet. She could only see the boards against the two doors begin to break in half. Her sword was ready in her hand, her feet were placed parallel to the doors, and her breaths slowed down.
Suddenly everything stopped. The banging stopped and when Athena looked back, the chip was crushed. But then Emori laughed and the banging continued.
"You were too late."
"Fucking hell, John." Adriel cursed before grabbing Athena's arm and dragging her through the tunnel.

After many excruciating hours, it was finally time for their amazing entrance. Athena watched as Bellamy, Octavia, Miller, and Jasper were beaten in a dark hallway on the bottom floor and held there with their hands tied.
Athena stood a few feet away, watching them begin to drag Bellamy her way. But when she let a mocking whistle flow out her lips, the brainwashed guards suddenly stopped. A flashlight was brought out and now Bellamy saw her clearly.
"Everyone hit the ground!" Bellamy shouted, watching a small smirk grow onto her face.
Bellamy threw himself onto the ground while Pike and Murphy began firing bullets at the rest. "Fancy meeting you here." John snickered while Athena cut the ropes from Octavia's hands.
