Athena and Adriel had been sent by Titus to accompany Lexa and Clarke back to Arkadia to return the body of Nia.

Athena was reluctant but chose to go otherwise. It was weird. Returning back to a home where no one wanted you. They had sent her down, as a kid, to be slaughtered. It was like they didn't expect her to change. They saw her as the enemy, even if she was raised by them.

The couple walked on foot behind Lexa and Clarke. They weren't given horses but they didn't mind. They were fit enough to walk a few miles without breaks.

As they walked over the field the sight of smoke surrounded the field beside them. Athena's eyebrows scrunched together. But her eyes widened as she saw dead bodies covering the grass.

"Oh my god." She gasped, her mouth coming up to cover her mouth.

The bodies laid dead, burnt out smoke covered the fields and flies buzzed around.

Athena and Adriel quickly went over to search the field. They could hear Lexa and Clarke get off their horses and join them.

"Gunshots." Adriel stated as he kneeled beside a dead body.

"Heda, come quick!" A guard yelled over from beside a large tent. The group quickly ran over and could see a healer kneeling beside a body.

"Indra!" Lexa gasped and rushed over.

Clarke removed a piece of India's armour and called out for bandages. "Stay away." Indra warned her. "You're one of them."

"Indra let her help." Lexa told the injured woman.

"Indra, what happened?" Adriel asked, as a guard handed Clarke a piece of cloth.

Indra groaned before locking her gaze with Lexa, "they attacked while we slept. Our watch was to the north, looking for Azgeda. They killed our archers first. Our infantry couldn't get close. Then they executed the wounded."

"The summit was two days ago." Clarke shook her head. "How could Kane do this?"

Athena looked away from the scene. She rubbed her hand across her temple. Why would he do this? He agreed to peace. Why?

"It wasn't Kane." Indra groaned, causing Athena to quickly look back. "It was Pike."

"How did you escape?" Lexa asked.

"Bellamy." Indra stated.

"Bellamy was with them?" Athena tilted her head. Why would he be apart of this?

"He wanted to spare the wounded, but they wouldn't listen. He convinced Pike to let me live, so I could deliver a message." Indra told them.

"What message?" Adriel sneered. His eyebrows her scrunched and Athena could almost see steam coming from out of him.
