The grounder and sky girl were sitting on a high branch. From where they sat there was a small stream under them and they could see the dark sky gleaming with stars.

They sat close, their shoulders barely touching. Their bodies were relaxed, sure they were around 30 ft above the ground but they didn't seem to mind.

To Athena it felt like every day was another problem. There was never one moment where she didn't have to watch her back. But when she was next to the green eyed boy, it felt like peace; it felt like home.

"It looks better from down here." Athena smiles, breaking the comfortable silence.

"How." Adriel asks, he was always confused on how she could be easily distracted by the nature around them. Before they climbed the tree, he showed her the small stream with many pebbles. She was mesmerized by the smallest things. He was close to dying of laughter when she would stop every minute and pick up a flower or pebble and stuff it into the pocket of her jacket. Once she had noticed him laughing at her she had grabbed a decent sized rock and threw at his head.

She tilted her head slightly towards him, "it just looks different." She shrugged and went back to star gazing while he looked at her for longer.

He admired her hazel eyes. The color of the green leaves when spring has arrived, mixing with brown that was identical to his deceased mother's soup. The black cut that stretched along her cheekbone. Her dirty blonde hair that looked fiery red during the sunrise. And her skin, throughout the days here on earth she had become more tan. He admired her, she looked like a goddess to him.

As the two looked at the sky they could see a star coming down from the sky. She had read books where she learned that the people before the bombs had called it a shooting star.

"A shooting star." He said softly as they both stared in awe.

As the star dropped down from the sky it was getting closer, and closer to the ground in seconds. From where she sat, she could see the fire surrounding whatever was coming down.

"That's a pod. From the ark." Athena said in realization, as she stared at the small metal ship coming down.

"Let's go." He said, as he climbed down the tree.

"Wait, I have to go alone. Bellamy and Clarke are probably down there, you can't go." Athena said, as she jumped down from the tree once she was close enough.

"Do you still have the throwing knives?"

"Yeah." Athena nodded

"When you get back, put a bandage on the cut. We don't need more people finding out you're a natblida." He said, before the blonde nodded her head at him and took off jogging towards the pod.
