"What in the world..." Yeonjun was inhaling and exhaling every now and then, faster than usual, while going up the stairs. The man left a minute ago and Yeonjun didn't know where did he go. When he turned around, the man was not there anymore, but he did remember something. The man said they headed to the same destination. Maybe he's somewhere around here.Yeonjun finally stopped walking up the stairs, heading to work. The library is located at the second floor of a building. Below it, a cafe restaurant is located. The building has less noise compared to other buildings since there is a library and the cafe is unintentionally quiet at times.
Yeonjun finally opened the door of the library and entered it, gaining looks from his co-worker, Beomgyu. Until Yeonjun reached the counter of the library, he never left his friend's sight. But instead of apologizing for being late, Yeonjun laughed it off. "Stop it. You look hilarious."
"I'm hurt, hyung." Beomgyu acted like he was being so sad and disappointed. He even acted like he was near to crying. He covered his eyes and pretended to cry his eyes out. He even pretended to sob. Psh. What an actor, Yeonjun thought. "You lied to me, hyung."
"Stop being dramatic. I have arrived, okay?" Yeonjun then shrugged it off and wore his I.D. Yes, librarians need their identifications cards. It's necessary for visitors to know the librarians' names, but they never asked about it nor call them by their names. Others call them 'Mr. Librarian', and believe it or not, some of the females call Yeonjun with such so-called cute nicknames. They are flirting with him, aren't they?
And so, the day started. It's eight in the morning. By this time, everyday, visitors come to the library. Others would borrow books, read it here, study here, and others do researches on the computers. Yeonjun watched the library door as it opened and closed every time someone walks in. He does this every weekday.
"Why are you late anyway? It's unusual," Beomgyu asked as he joined Yeonjun in sitting on their chairs at the counter. Yeonjun sat still and faced the computer with a straight position. He doesn't want to answer his friend's question, but he wanted to at some point.
"I just got caught up in the rain. That's it." Yeonjun lied. How would he tell his friend about the man? Usually, Yeonjun would greet any stranger with a glare and walk away. But today, it's different.
"Aye. You're lying." Beomgyu was laughing. He knew something was up with Yeonjun. He knows his friend too well for the older to lie.
"What are you talking about? I'm not."
"I was late too. okay? You thought I didn't see you running across the street with a man? Such a dummy, hyung."
And Yeonjun stopped. His hands on the keyboard stopped typing, his sitting position stiffened, and his eyes went wide. He slowly turned his head to his right side where Beomgyu wassitting. His friend was busy typing that he hasn't seen his reaction. Yeonjun's was looking weird.
Then, Beomgyu also turned his head to Yeonjun's side. He laughed at his hyung's reaction, of course. He was enjoying teasing his friend. He knows that Yeonjun gets annoyed by him, but he does not care right now. He saw what he shouldn't have seen. "Yes, hyung. I saw you two."
