"hey, yj! happy birthday!" greeted one of yeonjun and beomgyu's co-worker when he entered the library. those co-workers who are older or those who have the same age as yeonjun are calling him 'yj'. others who are younger just call him by his first name.

yeonjun wanted to just spend the whole day with his family, but he was far from them. he wanted to at least spend his day with his friends but unfortunately, it's a work day. but on the bright side, he's still with his friends. it's just that, they're at work.

as the hours passed by, more people came to the library. those who are often or always there greeted yeonjun for his birthday. they aren't that much in number, but they say a lot. some even sent letters, congratulating him for the occasion. it's from those girls who are going to the library to see those devastatingly attractive librarians inside — beomgyu and yeonjun, of course.

"hyung, can you find this book on the shelves? i'm not sure if it's borrowed or not. i didn't see its title among the borrower's cards yet," beomgyu asked yeonjun a favor while he was searching for the borrower who borrowed for the book they were finding. yeonjun agreed and stood up from his swivel chair and went to the shelves.

"where is it..." yeonjun muttered as he was passing through every part of that one particular shelf, he was sure it will be located there. being a librarian for a few years now, of course he's used to searching and classifying books and he sure has the knowledge about these.

he searched back and forth, eyes are as sharp as they can get. however, it suddenly gets soft and calm... like there was some kind of magic that passed by his sight.

"happy birthday.." as he said those two words of greetings, he let out a smile, showing it to yeonjun who suddenly stares in awe. "..yeonjunie."

with that, yeonjun couldn't help but smile as well, reaching his eyes. he smiled at that one man who was across him, on the other side of the shelf, bending down just so he could be on the same level as yeonjun's eyes. they stare at each other, with yeonjun finding the right words to say to this man.

"thank you.. soobinie," yeonjun said.

this is a surprise to see. yeonjun thought he would only be able to see soobin later on, during their promised dinner with their other friends. but here he is right now, staring at the only man who made his already bright days even brighter, his not-so-cold nights feel warm, and his heart beat faster. only soobin.

"i wanted to talk to you, but i guess you're busy. i'll just wait for you," soobin said, eyes are still on yeonjun. he waited for the latter to say something, but all yeonjun did was stare at him like he'll never see that man again. 'stop staring. i might lose control,' soobin thought to himself.

soobin waited for yeonjun to speak up, to at least say 'okay, i'll see you later' or even just a simple goodbye and take care. still, yeonjun didn't even open his mouth. what's happening? no one knows. maybe yeonjun just felt like he saw an angel waiting. soobin would've boasted about it if yeonjun actually said that. he would've showed his cheeky smile, and will try to hide it for a second.

without more talking, soobin smiled at yeonjun and started walking out. once he reached the library door, he turned his head around to look at beomgyu and wave at him, and then smiled at yeonjun, who was still in his own world. after so, soobin finally went out of the library.

"so, did you find it?" beomgyu asked as he felt yeonjun sitting back down on his swivel chair. he looked at him, he was now back to reality.
