"hyung," beomgyu called as he tapped yeonjun's shoulder slightly while he was still sleeping. yeonjun slightly opened his eyes to see beomgyu still in his pajamas. "i cooked breakfast. come down when you want to."yeonjun nodded and rubbed his eyes to not let it close for too long again and fall back to sleep. it's already ten in the morning, he should wake up by now. beomgyu left the room quietly, trying hard not to make a sound.
beomgyu came to yeonjun's house at around eleven o'clock in the evening last night as yeonjun called for him. he slept there for he wanted to make sure his friend would be sleeping alright, with no distractions, during the night. beomgyu slept in the pull out bed under yeonjun's because his friend didn't want him to leave him alone. beomgyu agreed, thinking, maybe yeonjun hyung really needs comfort at this moment.
when yeonjun went downstairs, breakfast was already served on the table — or brunch. usually, at the sight of food alone, his face brightens up like his whole day is already complete. however, this day might be different from the usual. beomgyu noticed that, but he couldn't do anything to keep a positive surrounding for yeonjun. he's also aware of the possible reason on why is his friend unlike the usual. he can't do anything about it because he, himself, is unlikely of how he is every time. they should be each other's support right now, along with their other's friends.
"where are you going?" yeonjun looked back at beomgyu who was lying down on the couch, probably just woke up. yeonjun was dressed in a plain black shirt with a gray zip-up hoodie and black pants. "it's raining."
"to him," to my love.
"right," beomgyu looked down, sighing afterwards. when he looked up, yeonjun was still there near the front door, waiting for beomgyu to speak. "take care, hyung."
yeonjun nodded and finally went out of his house, leaving beomgyu inside. he didn't want to go home, so beomgyu asked yeonjun if he could stay there and yeonjun agreed. later on, taehyun and huening kai will come over too.
it's currently five o'clock in the afternoon, and the hours before this was just full of lying down, sleeps, and silence. even beomgyu and yeonjun weren't talking to each other. yeonjun was upstairs, locked in his room, while beomgyu was downstairs, talking to his boyfriend. for those hours, all of it went on repeat.
walking on the sidewalks of the road, yeonjun was just listening to music. he would've reached to his destination faster if he waited for a bus and ride it, but he chose to walk instead. heavy rains were falling, and yeonjun didn't seem to care. when he walked out of his doorstep, he didn't even think of getting a cover for himself. seconds later, he realized he will be needing an umbrella.
"did they ever hold each other like us? did they ever fight like us..." he sang along to one direction's song entitled you & i. his voice was heard by him and him alone because no one else was in that place.
that place... it was the place where yeonjun admitted his love for soobin for the first time. he's here again for the second time, and maybe the last. who knows, maybe he'll come back again.
he's seated on a bench at the park, located not-to-near from the cliff where a heavenly view of the sea and the sky colliding is visible to everyone's eyes. while he's waiting, yeonjun was playing songs from his phone, feeling the sad songs too much that he tears up, and singing along with upbeat songs.
"not even the gods above—"
"can separate the two of us," a voice from behind yeonjun was heard, blending and harmonizing their voices together. yeonjun had his eyes wide open and his lips parted. although shocked, he managed to turn his back and look. there, he saw him — the love of his life, the person he cherished the most, and will continue to cherish as days turn to months, months turn to years, years turn to decades, and if life will allow him to reach centuries.
