"hyung!" soobin heard taehyun calling as he stepped down his car, closing the door behind him. he smiled at taehyun and huening kai as he saw him coming out of the cafe restaurant.

"oh you're going home? it's quite early though." soobin looked at his watch to confirm the time, thinking it was too early for these two restaurant workers to go home. soobin looked at the two, confused.

"since we had another overtime yesterday, our manager allowed us to go home early this time," taehyun said and huening kai, who was behind taehyun, nodded in agreement.

"anyway, we're going," huening kai started. "yeonjun and beomgyu hyung are still working so if you don't mind, please tell them we're off early." soobin nodded at huening kai's request and the two started bringing out their umbrellas from their bags with the thought of the upcoming rain. before finally saying their goodbyes, they thank soobin and walked back home.

another two hours more and work hours are finally done for the remaining two of the friends, yeonjun and beomgyu. decided to wait for the two inside the library, soobin got his laptop from his car and went to the second floor of the building to enter the library. as he entered, the first person he looked for was yeonjun, but he was welcomed by beomgyu.

beomgyu was surprised to see soobin enter the library although soobin is always there. if not everyday then most of the days. but the surprised look faded from beomgyu's face and was replaced by a cheeky smile. beomgyu raised his two eyebrows twice, making soobin confused.

"what the hell are you doing?" soobin said with a low volume of voice, respecting the rules of the public library. beomgyu didn't respond, he just smirked at soobin and walked away, towards the counter. and there he saw him.

but soobin looked at yeonjun and he seemed so full of thoughts. like he was problematic. so, to prevent him
from adding burden to yeonjun, he decided to just go to an unoccupied table near the reference section in the library. it might be far from where yeonjun is, but he can still see him from afar and that's enough for soobin.

the hours passed by in a flash and all that soobin did was watch a movie playing from his laptop. he didn't even notice that work hours are done if he didn't hear beomgyu calling him loudly. turns out they're the only people inside the library.

soobin shut his laptop down and placed it inside its bag, including the earphones that he used. he exited the library together with beomgyu and yeonjun. as yeonjun and his eyes met, soobin immediately felt like something was wrong with yeonjun. something was definitely off.

no, yeonjun was not frowning. he didn't seem to look mad too. instead, his smile was so bright and wide that it didn't seem to be real for some seconds. until they were inside soobin's car, that huge smile of yeonjun was still there.

"hyung," beomgyu called, referring to soobin. "could you drop me off at the mall? you can go right after."

"yeah, sure." soobin looked at beomgyu at the rear view mirror and nodded. he then looked at yeonjun to see the same smile. weird, but maybe he's just really happy.

minutes later, they arrived in front of the mall and beogyu went down the car, telling soobin that he's meeting his cousin so he will stay there for a while. exiting the gateway of the mall, yeonjun suddenly spoke.

"you're free tonight?" with that question, soobin turned to his right to look at yeonjun. unusual, that's what soobin immediately thought. if it's already evening, yeonjun wouldn't really want to hang out more. he'd rather lay down on his bed. guess things are different today.
