"friends? then befriend him. it's not something to be bothered about, hyung," taehyun said as they were walking home. good thing taehyun and huening kai can now go home earlier than last week. yeonjun and beomgyu were always going home on time."i don't know, taehyun. it's nothing serious but i don't really know if i should say yes to being friends with him or no." yeonjun said as he placed his right hand on his hair, fixing it.
"as you just said, hyung, it's nothing serious. why not say yes?" beomgyu said, catching up with his three friends after he was left there because he tied his shoelace. he was now walking at the same speed as the others. "besides, it seems like you are in good terms with soobin hyung. aren't you basically friends by then?"
yeonjun kept quiet. yesterday, soobin asked him to be his friend. it's just a friend, not a proposal for courting or asking him to be his boyfriend, but it surely made him nervous for some odd reason. it's making him crazy just thinking about it.
"let's stop by the store. i want milk," beomgyu said and walked towards the convenience store without even waiting for the other three to agree to him. the other three had no other choice but to follow beomgyu inside the store. actually, they had one choice — leave beomgyu and go home first. but they didn't. maybe they want something from the convenience store as well.
inside the convenience store, there weren't much people. actually, there was only one and that is the cashier. it's too quiet, but was already loud when they finally were inside. the cashier were looking at them, following their every stop. no one knew why — if it was because of their visuals or are they just too loud.
"why the hell did you buy two?" taehyun asked huening kai who was ready to pay for two flavored milks. upon getting his money to pay, he answered the older.
"for soobin hyung. i just remembered him," kai said and got the plastic where the two milks were in. taehyun couldn't believe what huening kai just said, as well as beomgyu and especially yeonjun. "what?" the youngest asked.
"uh," beomgyu couldn't utter a word. he knew yeonjun wanted to avoid soobin as their topic even just for a day but i guess they just couldn't help but mention him. plus, just before they went inside the store, they were talking about that man. "let's just go."
continued with walking home, they were busy talking about some stuff only them would understand, at the same time sipping from the straws of their flavored milks. they haven't even noticed that they were almost about to separate ways, and streets, because of being too busy laughing. these boys just couldn't forget to laugh each day.
"how do you know if someone likes somebody?" huening kai, out of the blue, asked the other three friends while walking back home. they were slowly stopping with their laughing and are now trying to process what the youngest of them all just said. "why are you staring? i was just asking."
"why? do you like someone?" yeonjun asked huening kai. it's unusual for him to ask that type of question. huening kai never specifically talked about him liking someone, nor even just the thought of liking someone. he was, maybe, too innocent for that by this time. he preferred to work for the sake of himself living far from his family's home. "ooh, hyuka likes someone!" yeonjun said when huening kai remained silent after the oldest questioned him back.
"so," taehyun started. "who is this girl?" he said, referring to the girl that these three other men believe huening kai likes.
"i don't like someone, dumbheads," huening kai said and laughed it off. he started walking again but the others didn't. they were all standing on the same spot, looking at huening kai, who they really believe is liking somebody. "i swear. i don't like anyone yet."
