Santana gets jealous

I got to the choir room before Santana, Brittany and Quinn, just as I was about to sit in my usual seat and wait for the girls to appear Rachel was standing in front of me. I took a step back and smiled at her awkwardly. "Errr, hi Rachel, everything okay?" Rachel smiled back at me showing off her pearly white teeth. "I was just wondering if you wanted to sit with me today" I looked around the room, I really wished Santana or Quinn or Brittany would walk in and save me from this torture. I was too polite to say no so I went and sat next to Rachel.

Just then Mr Shue walked in with Santana, Quinn and Brittany behind him. Mr Shue went over to the whiteboard and started writing on it. I looked over at Santana and she sent a glare my way, I cringed, I hated when she was mad at me. Rachel noticed me cringe and put her arm around me. I tensed and saw Santana out the corner of my eye. Quinn and Brittany had to drag her to go and sit down.

I gently shook Rachel's arm off of me. Mr Shue turned around to address everyone. He clapped his hands together. "Right guys, the assignment for this week is duets, I want you and a partner to pick a song that expresses how you feel, this can be about something that's happening in your life, something that's happened or a special person." Everyone started talking, it wasn't long before Mr Shue got everyone's attention back on him. "There's one catch...you all have to partner with someone different." I groaned internally.

I heard Rachel scoot her chair closer to mine. "Hey y/n I was just wondering, do you want to be my partner for the duet, we've never worked together and Mr Shue did say we had to work with someone different." I looked over to Santana but she had her back to me. I sighed shaking my head. I turned back to Rachel "Yeah, sure I'll sing with you"

Rachel started jumping up and down. "Oh that's great I know the perfect song for us to sing." Before I could say anything Rachel spun around and got Mr Shue's attention. "Mr Shue can me and y/n go first, we already have a song, so can we go tomorrow?" Mr Shue looked bewildered. "I suppose so...if that's okay with y/n" I felt everyone's eyes on me. "Oh yeah, that's fine."

Just then the bell rang, I got up to go to Santana but she had already left...great now I had a pissed off girlfriend.

I had tried to catch Santana in between lessons, at lunch and at cheer practice but she was good at avoiding me.

That night after school I went over to Rachel's to practice the song she picked...Santana was not going to be happy...

I honestly couldn't believe my luck, I sat on the stall at the front of the class, staring at my feet while I sang, I wanted this over fast.

You:

There goes my mind racing

And you are the reason (I looked up at Santana, Quinn and Brittany noticed and nudged her, she looked at me, rolled her eyes, crossed her arms over her chest and turned away from me.)
