Your POV
It was cool being the daughter of Katie McGrath, you loved having her as your mom, she was awesome! The best part was she played Lena Luthor on Supergirl and you loved the times when your mom would let you go to work with her and you would get to hang with the rest of the cast in between takes Melissa was your favourite cast member to hang out with, she would help you prank everyone else, including your mom.
You liked the show before your mom even started working on the show. You had watched the show from the very beginning. The best part of the show for you was the coming out plot with Chyler's character Alex Danvers. That's the problem you had now...you wanted to tell your mom... That you liked girls....you just didn't know how. You wasn't scared she'd take it badly, you just didn't know how to express it, you knew your mom loved you and would support you no matter what.
You had been closed off with your mom for awhile and very short tempered, you never left your phone lying around and when you would get a text or a call you would quickly leave the room. You didn't want your mom to get a glimpse of your phone. You knew your mom knew something was up with you, but she didn't press the issue, knowing you would go to her when you was ready.
Weeks had gone by since then and you just became more and more secretive. You would take your phone everywhere, even to the bathroom, your phone would always be in your hand, or with in reach of you. You could tell by the look on Katie's face that she had had enough of it. One day she confronted you about it.
You were making your way to the front door, ready to meet up with your friend, when Katie stood in the way of the door with her arms on her hips, she looked a lot like Lena Luthor especially when she raised her eyebrow at you.
"Okay y/n, what's going on?" She stood in front of your eyebrows raised.
You looked at your feet. "Nothing, don't know what you're talking about."
Katie huffed. "Don't give me that! You've become distant with me, also, you never let your phone out of your sight and you've become pretty secretive over who you've been texting, I want to know what's going on with you."
You rolled your eyes, knowing how much she hated when you did that. "Nothing's going on, I'm a teenager, we're glued to our phones."
Katie took a step closer to you, with you taking a step back. "Honey, I know something's bothering you, I've been waiting for you to come to me for weeks, but you haven't...please talk to me."
You sighed and went to sit on the couch, the couch dipped moments later.
"It's nothing bad...well at least I don't think it's bad?"
You looked up at Katie and she smiled at you. "Whatever it is you can tell me, I won't judge, I'll support you no matter what."
Your hands started to sweat....it was now or never. "I....ermm.I...I like girls..."
You looked at your mom and she sat there staring at you blankly. You didn't know what to do, when all of a sudden your mom started laughing.
You quickly stood up. "What the hell mom?!"
Katie calmed down, shaking her head, stood up and took your hand gently in hers. "I'm sorry baby, I'm not laughing at you, it's just you realise that Chyler's character likes girls too right?"
You rolled your eyes. "What? Really...I wouldn't have guessed, it's not like I've been watching the show since the pilot aired."
Katie smirked at your sarcastic comment. "I don't care if you like girls, I love you no matter what, is it a girl you were going to meet?"
You nodded. "Yeah, she's really cool."
Katie gently pushed you towards the door. "Okay, go, hey one last thing."
You turned and looked at your mom. "Yeah?"
Katie grinned. "At least I don't have to worry about you coming home and telling me your pregnant."
