performing a song for Marley

I had joined Glee club to be closer to my girlfriend Marley, the only trouble was...I had really bad stage fright and I absolutely hated singing in front of people, no matter who it was, I just freaked out...

Marley understood and was supportive, but I was sick of letting my fears hold me back so I had decided that I was going to surprise Marley by writing and performing a song for her, though I had to make sure no one was going to be in the choir room.

On my lunch break I found Marley by her locker and went running over to her, pulling her into a hug. Marley laughed, hugging me back.

I started jumping up and down, it seemed to be helping with my nerves. "Hey babe, come with me to the choir room, I need to show you something."

Marley looked confused but took my hand and walked with me to the choir room.

I led her to a chair and indicated for her to sit down which she did.

"Okay, I know I'm probably confusing you...but I have a surprise....You know how I hate singing in front of people right?"

Marley nodded her head.

"Well....I...wrote you a song...can I sing it for you?"

"Of course babe."

I got up and sat behind the piano.

I closed my eyes as I started playing.

Throughout the song I had been glancing at Marley to see her reaction. When I had finished singing she jumped up and enveloped me in a hug. We both jumped apart when we heard clapping from behind us.

We both turned to see the Glee club in the door way smiling at us both.

Brittany stepped forward smiling. "Damn Y/n, didn't know you could sing like that, that song did you write it?"

I looked down embarrassed. "Ermm...yeah I wrote it for Marley..."

Marley smiled, kissing me on the cheek.
