I couldn't believe how stupid I was, I knew not to let people get to me...but I did and now they were calling mom...unfortunately this time she wasn't away on a case so she was on her way to the school to come and get me. This was NOT going to be fun...

Emily's POV

I was sitting in the conference room debriefing about the last case we had been on when my phone started buzzing, I looked down to see that my daughters school was phoning. Something must seriously be wrong...was she hurt? Was she ill? I stood up and motioned to Hotch so he knew where I was going. He nodded and I slipped out of the room to take the call.

Phone call in bold.

Emily: Agent Prentiss speaking

Principle: Hi, this is principle Danvers, sorry to bother you at work, but I was wondering if you could come collect y/n from school?

Emily: Yes, but is everything okay? Is she sick?

Principle: No y/n got into a fight, and she needs to be picked up, I can explain more when you get here.

Emily: I'm on my way thank you.

Phone call ended.

I walked back into the conference room, hastily grabbing my coat from the back of the chair, I turned around as I got to the door. "Sorry Hotch, I have to go get y/n from school, they just phoned she got into a fight" Hotch looked sympathetic. "Of course go ahead, take the rest of the day if you need to." I shook my head. "No, I'll go get her and then she can come back here and do work in my office, after she's explained to me why in the hell she got in a fight."

I quickly left the building and made my way to the school, there was going to be hell to pay but I wasn't sure who for yet, there had to be a good reason for this to happen, there best be.

Your POV

I was sitting on the chair outside the principle's office staring at the ground and shuffling my feet. I froze when I heard heels clicking on the floor. I held my breath when I saw the heeled shoes stopping in front of me. She was probably beyond pissed.

I looked up into the eyes of my brunette mother, she didn't look happy, just as  had predicted. Just as I was about to say something the principle's door opened, she smiled at mom. "Ah thank you for getting here so fast, if you could both come inside."

The principle moved out of the way to let us both inside. Emily looked down at me motioning with her head for me to go in first. I quickly got up and took a seat in the principle's office. The principle shut the door behind Emily. The principle walked around her desk and sat behind it. Emily took the seat next to me.

I stared at the floor. The principle was the first to break the silence. "Again I'm sorry to have had to call you away from work, but we do not tolerate fighting here." I scoffed. "Yeah such a shame you had to leave work, sorry if you forgot you had a kid" I mumbled, but it was still loud enough for both adults to hear which earned a scowl from both adults.

Emily looked at me and gently pushed my chin up to meet her gaze, she didn't look angry anymore, she looked concerned. "Honey, what happened? This isn't like you, you don't get into fights"

I pulled away from my mother, standing up. "How the hell would you know?! You're never here! You don't know what I'm like, heck I'm surprised you even remembered where the bloody school is!"

Emily looked taken aback. I had never spoken to her this way before. "That's why you got into a fight?" I rolled my eyes. "Of course that's not why I got into a fight" The principle decided to interrupt. "We just want to help you, your mother's right, this isn't like you, your a good student."

I so wasn't going to talk about this here. "I have nothing to say! I'm not telling you why! Okay so just leave me alone!" I went and sat on the other side of the room. Emily and the principle shared a look. The principle shook her head. "Well if you won't tell me why then I'm going to have to suspend you for the rest of the week, you can come back Monday and since this is your first fight it won't go on your permanent record...this time."

Emily looked relieved. "Thank you, I'm so sorry about this, I'll get to the bottom of this" Emily and the principle stood up and shook hands. Emily turned to you frowning. I rolled my eyes and left the office making my way to Emily's car.

Emily unlocked the car and I quickly got in shutting the door. I sat in silence waiting for Emily to take me home. I heard her sigh but didn't look in her direction. Emily started the car and started driving, I turned to face her when I realised that she wasn't taking me home, she was driving towards the BAU.

"What the hell?! Why aren't we going home?! I want to go home!" Emily just ignored me, she parked up and got out the car. I got out and followed behind her. We were both silent in the lift, as soon as the doors opened I walked out, I smiled when I saw the others. I smiled when I saw JJ she was my favourite, she was like a second mom. I went running over to her and throwing my arms around her in a hug. JJ laughed hugging me back, I knew JJ and mom had feelings for each other, so why they couldn't just admit it I didn't know.

I pulled away when I felt my mother behind me. She pointed to her office. "My office. Now. Go." I sighed but did what she said I didn't want to push it. I saw mom smile at JJ, I rolled my eyes, they were worse than teenagers, she then turned and followed me to her office.

She quietly shut the door behind her, watching me. "Please just talk to me, what's going on?" I stood with my arms folded. "Why you don't give a shit!" Emily stood there shocked. "Don't talk to me like that young lady, I'm your mother." I rolled my eyes again. "Your only my mother when your actually here! Your never around!" I sat in the chair behind her desk and buried my face in my hands, crying. Emily quickly made her way around the desk and kneeled next to me putting her arms around me. I buried my face in her neck and wrapped my arms around her and cried.

After calming down Emily led me to the sofa that was in the office, sat down next to me and took my hand. "I couldn't do it anymore mom, it was all getting too much, you weren't here, I didn't know what else to do...and then they started again." Emily looked like she was going to cry herself. "Couldn't do what honey? Who started?"

I looked down. "Kids at school, telling me your gonna die...that your gonna let whoever the killer is kill you, because your ashamed of me, ashamed that you was a teen mom." I started crying again. Emily gathered me in her arms and held me close.

"Honey that's not true, I'm not ashamed of you, neither am I ashamed that I was a teen mom, if I could go back and change it...I wouldn't, because it gave me you, and you are the best thing that ever happened to me."

I looked up at her not really believing what she was saying. "But your parent's chucked you out and cut all ties with you because you went ahead with the pregnancy"

Emily smiled. "Yep, and I wouldn't change it, I love you, I always will and nothing can change that."

I smiled. "I love you too, I'm really sorry."

Emily hugged me again. "I know I am too"
