Tanya Denali's mate part 11

Your POV

Everyone was sitting in the house. Kate was anxiously pacing back and forth while Tanya was trying to phone Irina. You rolled your eyes, you sighed got up and snuck out of the house while Tanya wasn't looking.

You walked deep into the woods, you needed to get out, the tension was driving you nuts. You reached a beautiful clearing and saw a waterfall at the edge. You decided to go sit there for a while, you needed to think.

Just as you was nearing the waters edge you heard sniffling. You looked to the other side of the waterfall to see Leah, sitting and silently crying. You sighed leaped over the waterfall and landed silently next to her.

Leah looked up when she saw you. "Please, don't have ago at me.." You sat down next to her and shook your head. "I'm not going to have ago at you Leah..." Leah frowned. "Why not? I was horrible to Irina." You tilted your head. "True but then again Irina wasn't very nice either."

Leah smiled slightly which caused you to do the same. "Look Leah, this is hard for both of you, it's hard for you because you hate vampires and it's hard for Irina because she thought Laurent was her mate and he was killed by your pack, and then to find out he was never her mate and that she's mated to you was hard for her, plus the fact that if it wasn't for me she would have been killed by the Volturi."

You looked at Leah as she rested her head in her hands. "All I'm trying to say is, it's an adjustment for both of you, it's going to take a while and that's okay, you guys do have eternity, just don't force anything let it happen naturally."

Leah nodded. "You're right, I guess we should head back..." Leah went to get up but you gently grabbed her hand and pulled her back down. "We can stay here for a bit, we both need to relax."

Leah nodded, she got up and jumped into the water, covering you, you screeched, left your phone on the ground and jumped in after her.

Tanya's POV

I had tried phoning Irina multiple times but there was no answer and Kate's pacing was really getting on my nerves. I sighed and put my phone on the table. I felt someone tap me on the arm. I turned to see Renesmee looking up at me. I bent down to her level. "What's up sweetheart?"

Renesmee smiled. "Have you seen Y/n, I wanted to play with her but I can't find her?" I looked around, it had only occurred to me that I didn't know she wasn't here. I looked back to Renesmee. "She must have gone to hunt, she'll probably be back soon.

Renesmee nodded and skipped over to Jacob. I walked over to Kate. "Hey Kate has Y/n gone hunting with Garrett?" Kate shook her head. "No Garrett's over there." Kate pointed to the far end of the living room where Garrett was talking to Rosalie.

I picked my phone up from the table and quickly dialled Y/n's number it went to voicemail. I sighed. Bella walked over to me looking concerned. "Everything okay Tanya?" I sighed again. "Great...Irina's ran off and now my mate's ran off too."

Just as Bella was about to say something Irina walked into the living room. Kate spotted her and went running over to her, throwing her arms around her. I walked over to her and pulled her into a hug when Kate pulled away. "Where were you, we were worried." Irina sighed. "Sorry, I needed to clear my head so I went for a run."

Irina looked around the room. "Is Leah here?" I shook my head. "No, she disappeared not long after you did." Irina nodded her head. "Where's Y/n?" I shrugged. "No idea, she's not answering her phone either."

Kate smiled. "Look I know your worried but don't be overbearing, nobody likes a clingy mate." I growled but deep down I knew Kate was right. If something was wrong I'd feel it.

Your POV

It was starting to get dark. You and Leah were both soaking wet. You were both walking towards the house, you saw everyone in the backyard having another campfire. Even though you couldn't get cold it still wasn't nice to be in wet clothes. You sighed walking over. Irina looked up, spotting Leah. Leah smiled and went to sit next to her. You saw Kate nudge Tanya and Tanya looked in your direction.

You was about to walk over when you felt another body collide with yours. You looked to see Renesmee's arms wrapped around your waist. You smiled down at her. "Hey kiddo."

Renesmee grinned up at you. "Hey, I missed you, where were you?" You laughed and mussed her hair affectionately. "I went for a walk." Renesmee nodded, smiled at you and went to sit between her parents.

Tanya walked over to you and crossed her arms. You sighed and rested your hand on her cheek, she leaned into your touch and looked at you. "Where were you?" You crossed your arms and looked at the floor shaking your head. "I needed to get out, it was too tense..."

You felt Tanya cup your chin and tilt your head up to look at her. Your lip quivered slightly and she pulled you into her arms. "It's okay baby." You breathed in her scent, it calmed you down almost immediately. "I ended up finding Leah, managed to get her to calm down and come back."

Tanya gently pulled you over towards the fire and sat down pulling you onto her lap. "Sweetie, why are you wet?" You laughed. "Oh me and Leah were by a waterfall and she decided to jump in soaking me, so I jumped in after her." Tanya's eyes darkened. "So...you got wet....with another woman...."

This caused you to laugh again. You pulled Tanya into a kiss. "Don't be jealous babe. You're the only one I want." Tanya rolled her eyes. "Oh better damn well be."
