Emily finds out you have detention

Your POV

I was definitely going to be in trouble when I got to the BAU later. I had gotten detention for talking back in class. I had to have mom sign the letter saying I had detention and I had a feeling the school were going to phone her to tell her.

I knew how pissed mom was going to be. She worried about me constantly, with her being an FBI agent it only heightened her worry.

I checked my phone throughout the day for any texts or phone calls from my mother, but I didn't have any. I thought this was probably a good thing, meaning the school hadn't phoned mom yet, which meant maybe I could get away with it after all.

I could probably fake moms signature. If she was on a case tomorrow I wouldn't have to make up an excuse, but if she wasn't I would just tell her I was going to study in the library.

The day went by fast and I was soon on my way to the BAU.

Emily's POV

I was sitting in my office when my cell started to ring, I looked down to see that it was y/n's school ringing.

Phone call in bold

Emily: Hello? Agent Emily Prentiss speaking.

Principle: Hello Agent Prentiss, this is Principle Danvers

Emily: Is everything okay with y/n?

Principle: Y/n was talking back in class today and unfortunately she has gotten detention for tomorrow after school and we need you to fill in the form.

Emily: Okay thank you, I'll get to the bottom of this.

End of phone call.

Y/n was going to be in so much trouble when she got here, I'd give her the benefit of the doubt and let her explain herself.

Your POV

I had just got out of the lift at the BAU. I looked around and saw everyone except mom. I walked into the room and everyone looked at me and smiled. JJ walked over to me and put her hand on my shoulder. "Hey y/n, your moms in her office, she said for you to go in when you got here."

I nodded and made my way to moms office. I knocked the door and walked in when I heard mom say to go in.

She looked up at me when I entered. "Hey honey, how was school?"

I looked at her sheepishly. "Yeah, school was fine"

Emily nodded at me in response. "So....nothing happened at school today?"

I looked at the floor. "Nope"

Emily stood up and made her way over to me, she gently lifted my chin so I had to look at her. "Okay, tell me what happened."

"It's nothing mom."

I looked at Emily to see her smile. "It's obviously something, I know your lying, you never look at me when you lie and secondly the school phoned and told me what happened."

I scoffed. "So why do you need me to tell you if they already told you?"

Emily crossed her arms over her chest. "Because I'd rather here it from my daughter"

I rolled my eyes. "We were having a group discussion and I didn't agree with what the teacher was saying and he got argumentative about it and gave me detention."

Emily smiled and put her arms around me. "Next time, just try not to argue back, and yes I know it's hard, but try, for me?"

I laughed but nodded and handed over the letter for mom to sign.
