Being JJ's daughter and skipping school part 3

Your POV.

Once you got outside you didn't know what to do or where to go. You was sick of running and frankly you was exhausted...You looked around and saw a bench on the opposite side of the street. You sighed, walked over to the bench and slumped into it, putting your face in your hands and sobbing.

JJ's POV

I put Henry back in his pram and made my way to the door before turning to Emily. "Hey Em, I'm gonna go find her, would you mind watching Henry?"

Emily smiled. "Of course Jayje go find your mini me."

I smiled thankfully at her before running to the lift. Once I got outside I looked around frantically. I didn't know where she would be by now. I looked across the street and was relieved when I saw Y/n sitting on the bench on the other side of the street. My heart broke when I saw that Y/n was sobbing. I quickly made my way to the bench and sat down next to her, putting my arms around her and pulling her into a hug.

Your POV.

You stiffened when you felt someone put their arms around you and pull you into them. You relaxed when you smelt your mother's perfume. You pulled away to look at her. JJ smiled down at you and gently wiped the tears from your eyes.

"Baby...I'm sorry...I've been so occupied with Henry...I forgot that you need me too..."

You sniffed. "It just...feels like you don't want me anymore..."

JJ pulled you into her and held you tight, quickly wiping tears from her eyes. You felt JJ kiss the top of your head. "I am so sorry I made you feel like that sweetie...of course I want you. I'll never stop, you're my little girl...my first baby...you've been with me through everything, my last few years of high school, FBI training...everything...and you've been a big help with your little brother."

You pulled away frowning. "What are you on about? How have I been a big help with Henry, I've been avoiding Henry...I'm a terrible big sister..."

JJ laughed. "Sweetie...I know you go into his room of a night and settle him down."

You stared at JJ in shock. "How did you know that?"

JJ smiled. "You forget what a light sleeper I am, both me and Will would sometimes watch the baby monitor when you would read or sing to him."

You smiled too. "Yeah well, I need my sleep, his noisy."

JJ rolled her eyes and playfully shoved you. "Oh really? So that's the only reason?"

You shoved her back. "Okay fine...I guess it's my way of bonding with him."

JJ brushed hair behind your ear. "And he loves you...you know half the time I think he wakes up in the night just so you'll go in there."

"Really?"

JJ nodded.

You sighed. "I'm sorry mom...I guess I was just...."

JJ took your hand. "Jealous...It's okay to be jealous...you've been the only child your whole life...it's hard to have to share that with a new baby...Rosaline was the same when I came along."

"She was?"

JJ laughed. "Oh yeah, she hated me when I first came along...you know she actually did with me what you did with Henry..."

You took JJ's hand and gave it a gently squeeze, you knew she sometimes got sad when she talked about Rosaline. JJ looked at you and smiled. "I'll tell you what, how about this weekend, we leave Henry with Will and me and you can have a girls day, we can go get our nails done, go shopping and watch a movie, that sound good to you?"

You wrapped your arms around JJ's waist. "That sounds great mom!"

JJ pulled back and kissed your head. "You just have to promise me one thing?"

You sighed. "What's that?"

"That in the future, if anything's bothering you, no matter how busy, tired or stressed I may seem, you come to me, I don't care if it's the early hours of the morning, or if I'm away on a case, you talk to me, understand?"

You nodded. "I promise mom."

JJ smiled, standing up, when you got up JJ slung her arm around your shoulder and you wrapped your arm around her waist. You was both smiling as you walked back into the BAU.
