The girl who lived. That's who she was. Severus Snape, her father, told her that her mother sacrificed herself for the girl. Cassandra could remember the bright green light that night. She could remember that Voldemort tried to kill her, but couldn't for some reason. She also knew that the same thing happened to Harry Potter.
Cassandra had been living with the Woods for a couple of months and will be living with them until she's of age. Her mother was Mr. Wood's sister, which made Cassandra and Oliver cousins. The teachers from Hogwarts would be coming to her and teaching her in their free time.
Today Cassandra would be going to Diagon Alley to get things for school with Oliver. Oliver had told her many things about Hogwarts so far. Oliver is the captain of the Gryffindor Quidditch team, which Cassandra thought was amazing.
Mrs. Wood wanted to treat Oliver and Cassandra to ice cream after getting their things for school. The Woods and Cassandra woke early to get to Diagon Alley early. They went down to the Leaky Cauldron, which was a pub for wizards and witches alike.
Oliver took Cassandra to Madam Malkin's Robe Shop for All Occasions. Oliver went to be fitted for his robes — because he out grew his last robes — by another witch. Cassandra saw a boy around her age with blonde hair and a pointed nose, talking to another boy her age with black hair. She didn't have to think twice before knowing that the blonde boy was a Malfoy. The family that her father talks so highly of. Cassandra walked over to the two boys, hoping to engage in their conversation.
"Do you know what house you'll be in?" asked the blonde haired boy.
"No," the black haired boy answered.
"Hello," Cassandra said stepping up to the two boys. Draco Malfoy looked at her knowing exactly who she was.
"Hi, I'm Harry," the black haired boy said holding out his hand to Cassandra. Lucius Malfoy came round and took Draco out the door.
"I'm—" Cassandra started but got cut off.
"—come on. We're going to Quality Quidditch Supplies," Oliver said ushering Cassandra out.
"Wait! I didn't get your name!" the black haired boy yelled, but Cassandra was already gone.
