Luz's POV

"Well I don't see anything." Gus complained. I glanced back at him. He stood there with his arms crossed with an raised eyebrow.

"Neither do I. Should we just head back?" I asked.

Gus shrugged as he kicked a rock. "I guess. Willow was probably just being paranoid." He suggested.

"I suppose so." I agreed. Spinning back to where we came from we walked. Not much happened while we walked. We talked about random crap until the carriage came into view. I paused smelling the sharp smell of blood.. "Amity.." I murmured.

"Huh?" Before I could respond to Gus I took off.

Ducking under branches. Even cutting my hand on a thorn, but I didn't stop. I ran behind the carriage and reached the other side.

"Amity! Willow!" I wasn't prepared for what I saw next. Willow had a tight grip on her dagger. She stared down at a bloody mess. Amity stood a bit farther away.

Carefully I walked over. I could see Willow's hands were covered in a sticky red blood. Reaching Willow, I stood beside her. Blonde hair, green eyes... An owl symbol.. Yia.... I felt sick to my stomach. I've seen people die... Hell I've killed people myself... but... Seeing an assassin who I've worked on missions with before... It made me sick. I then noticed a slit in the assassin's throat.. of course Yia had cuts all over her.. Either she put up a fight or Willow made sure she suffered.

Willow shoved the dagger at me. She locked eyes, her eyes cold. "I hope it was worth it." Was all she said before turning away.. I assumed she was leaving to go get washed off, so I left her to it.

Gus rounded the corner. "Hey. Is Willow okay? I saw her- OH MY GOD!" He yelled. His eyes wide as he stared at Yia. Before saying anything else he turned away throwing up..

I didn't judge him. Just seeing the body of my dead comrade made me want to throw up as well.

Gus stood up and wiped his mouth. "You good?" I asked.

He gave a light nod. "Yeah. I'm fine. I just wasn't expecting that..." he shuddered. He turned back around. His brown gaze avoiding Yia's body. "What happened!?"

I nodded and looked at Amity. She looked shaken, but not at the same time. "Yeah. I'd like to know that as well." I added. I could see blood on Amity. None of her bandages had seeped with blood and her leg wasn't bleeding. So I could only assume the blood on her was Yia's.

Amity was quiet for a few seconds. "She was the assassin hired to kill me... so she's been following us to 'finish the job'" Amity growled. "When she attacked me, I landed a good blow on her cheek." Just as she said that I noticed a good chunk of skin missing on Yia's cheek. Willow came up from behind and slid her throat. Some of her blood splattered on me. When she fell.. I gave her a few extra wounds..."

I blinked at her. Not really sure how to feel about it. "You did that?" I asked with disbelief.

"She was dying anyway.. I just wanted to get payback for what she did to Harry. It's not a big deal." Amity shrugged it off. She limped over and leaned close. Inches away. "Besides. You kill people."

"Yeah but we get it over with quickly so they don't suffer! You made her suffer." I argued. Sure I've killed a lot of people but I made sure they didn't suffer!

Amity narrowed her eyes. "Well she made me suffer! I was only getting payback! You would've done the same." She snarled. She leaned closer and I could feel her hot breath in my ears. "Princesse." She whispered. I stood there dumbfounded. Was she really using that against me?
