Amity's POV

I took a deep breath. I closed my eyes and began. I finished.. Opening my eyes I saw...

Nothing.. Nothing happened. Frustration tugged on my heart strings. "OH COME ON!" I hissed.

Not too far away, I could hear Luz chuckle. I turned to face the latina. "IT'S NOT FUNNY!" I snapped.

Luz shook her head. "You're doing better than me." She shrugged.

"You're not even practicing magic." I argued.

Luz shot me some finger guns. "Exactly." She laughed.

Sighing in defeat, I walked over to the assassin and sat down next to her. "We left Winsome 3 days ago and I still can't get the spell down.." I complained. Though seeing mine and Luz's ruins light up now that we were near each other made me feel better. It reminds me of our connection..

"Amity there's no need to rush it. Your book says some have more trouble with it than others." Luz comforted.

"It's just. This is the easiest spell you can learn and I'm having trouble with it." I groaned.

Luz shrugged. She reached over and kissed my cheek. "Everything will be fine. You'll get in eventually." She purred. She looked at the book and flipped through the pages. "Here try the light spell. The book says it's easy." She said, pointing to the ruin. "The spell's name is Eno(E-no).

I nodded, tracing over the ruin. I stood up and walked a bit away so that my arms would light up if the spell worked. I touched the air with my finger. I froze seeing my ruins light up and a light following my finger. I took a deep breath and began to trace the ruin. As soon as I finished tracing, I pulled my finger away. The ruin stayed in the air bright, just waiting for me to activate it.

"Amity you did it!" Luz gasped.

I looked at the latina assassin with a big smile. I looked back at the ruin. Touching it with my palm I whispered.. "Eno..." A small light ball appeared and gently floated down into my hands. Though it was kinda wimpy it was very pretty...

I flinched feeling cold hands touch my sides. Seeing a light purple light from behind me and my ruins on my arms lighting up told me it was Luz.

She laughed. "You did it!" She hugged me tightly and lightly kissed my neck.

"Luz stop! That tickles!" I laughed. That only made Luz tickle my side. "LUZ!" I laughed. "STOP!" Now laughing so hard I could barely breathe.

After a minute or two, Luz finally stopped and backed away. "Sorry. Your laugh is just cute." She grinned.

I could feel my cheeks heating up.

Luz chuckled, her cold hands were placed on my cheek. Chills ran down my spine. My cheeks began burning with a dark red

"Aww. Look at you blush!" Luz purred. I didn't argue this time. I placed my hand on her's and adjusted my head to kiss her hand.

"Look at you two. All lovey dovey." Both me and Luz flinched heavily hearing a voice. Staring at the fire, a certain pink haired, blue eyed assassin stood there.

"Boscha!" I yelped. "What are you doing up..."

The assassin shrugged. "Couldn't sleep. Then I heard you two and decided to come out.." she then looked at Luz and raised an eyebrow. "You do know you're arms are glowing right?"

I tended up. I had forgotten about our ruins. "Oh! UH!" I panicked trying to find an excuse.

Boscha shook her head. "I know..."

I exchanged a worried glance with Luz. "Know what?" Luz muttered.

"That you're a princess.. Princess of Cordova in fact. Daughter of Queen Camilla and step-daughter of King Kage... And Half sister of Princess Audrey and Prince Aubrey." Boscha commented.

Luz's eyes went wide. "How do you..."

"Ravens Point is in the Kingdom of Cordova's territory.... The Queen and King... You're mother and stepfather..... Hired Lilith to find you." Boscha shrugged. "When Lilith found out that Eda found you.. She's been looking for a way to bring you to Raven's point. So when she got a letter from Eda that you need refuge for a bit.. Lilith told me to stay with my family a bit longer so I could bring you home to your mother..."

I stared at the assassin before looking at Luz.

"Lilith's been trying to find a way to bring you to Cordova for 12 years..... You know.. How long you've been gone." Boscha muttered.

Luz had a face of worry and confusion all over it. Finally the Latina spoke. "W-why are you telling us this?"

Boscha dropped her gaze. Inhaling a deep breath and exhaling it... "Because.. I guess I see where you're coming from. My mom was low status until she married a higher status.. It puts a lot of pressure on a person to live up to their new status... I can only imagine what it's like being married into royalty." She muttered.

I paused. Boscha met Luz's gaze evenly. "I can see you don't fit royalty.. Unlike you're siblings..."

Luz eyes grew wider. "Siblings?"

Boscha blinked at Luz. "Oh.. You didn't know?" She questioned. Luz gently shook her head. "Almost a year after you were gone, your mom and the king had twins... Aubrey and Audrey.... They're about 12 years old now.. and from what I know... They know all about you. Everytime the king and queen come by to ask how far we've gotten, the twins are the most excited.. Thinking they'll finally meet their older sister.. The disappointment in they're eyes when we tell them we have no lead is heartbreaking.."

Luz's gaze was hard to read.. "I'm an older sister.." She muttered.

"I won't reveal your secret... it's obvious the others don't know. But you have to tell them soon or I will." Boscha hissed. "Now we can't go to Ravens Point."

I shook my head. My mind swirled and I didn't know what to think. "But why!"

Boscha's eyes grew dark. "Lilith is waiting..."
