Emira's POV
I followed closely behind my brother. It was cold and leaves dappled the ground. Finally we reached the wall of the town.
Edric glanced around, his golden eyes narrowed. "Alright let's go." He whispered before he ran forward.
I quickly followed him. As we ran, I could see the gate getting closer and closer, until... We reached it.
"Wow! It's huge!" I gasped.
"There!" He pointed towards a small cart where a dog stood in the back and two people. One was a women. She had broad shoulders and dusty brown hair that was in a messy bun. The other was a tall slim guy with mess muddy brown hair and brown eyes. He seemed a lot less muscular then the women but he was still an assassin....
"When will they be here?" Growled the man.
"Jerbo calm down. They should be here soon." Replied the women.
"In think- I looked over at my brother who was gone. I looked to the women and guy, Edric was walking over.
"Hello! I'm Edric.. You must be Viney and Jerbo?" He asked.
"Damnit Edric!" I growled under my breath before following my idiotic twin brother.
The well built women nodded. "I'm Viney and this is Jerbo." I would be lying if I said that this assassin didn't interest me. Her over all frame was so different compared to everyone I've seen back in town.
"So what are we doing here." I muttered crossing my arms.
A mischievous smile came on Viney's face. "To meet your end!" She leered.
I growled and looked to my brother, "Damnit Edric! I knew it was a trap!"
Jerbo laughed and shook his head. "Don't mind her. She likes to joke around. We're taking you to Ravens point." He glanced at Edric. "You were a prince. Don't they learn horseback and riding?"
Edric nodded. "Yeah. We do. I learned when I was young so I might be rusty."
Viney nodded. "This is Prince. He'll be you're horse. Emira right?" She asked making eye contact with me.
"Yea.." I growled.
"You'll be riding in the cart with me. We'll practice you're fighting and horse riding on the ride there.. Now we gotta go. The guards will come back soon." Viney said quickly. She climbed in the cart and patted the seat beside her. I won't lie. I was nervous and Viney must of noticed. "Hey.. Don't worry. We would hurt you." She smiled.
Her warm smile made me feel a lot better. I climbed up in the seat and we were off.
Jerbo and Edric rode up ahead on Prince and Jerbo's horse, Forest. Barcus, Jerbo's dog, was up ahead with Jerbo and Edric. Happily trotting beside them.
A leave flew down and landed on the horse pulling the cart. He shook it off and let out a loud neigh.
Viney laughed and looked over, "Puddles doesn't like it when leaves land on him." She giggled.
I chuckled. It was pretty funny. I sighed and leaned back against the seat. "So do you have any siblings?" I asked.
Viney nodded. "Yes and no. My siblings are the Owl Assassins. Eda found me when I was young, round the same time she found Luz. I was about 16 since Luz was 14. So I guess you could say Luz is like my sister. We learned the art of being an assassin together. We practiced together a lot. Up until I was 19 and Luz was 17. Eda made us full assassins." She showed me her cloak that had an Owl engraved on it. "She said we were the youngest assassins in her group to become an assassin."
