Boscha's POV
I stood beside Mya as she explained some ideas she had for preparations to the kings and Amity.
"That's not a bad idea..." King Jinn muttered. He looked up at Amity. "What do you think?"
Amity had her eyes narrowed. "It could be risky... I think it's best we wait for Luz to wake up so we can talk to her."
"Do we have that long?" King Rowan asked.
"She should wake up tomorrow.. I say we start on the plan and if Luz disagrees to it then we can easy pull back." I said as I pushed to pawns to the designated spot.
Amity nodded. "But I don't want to put pressure on her as soon as she wakes up." Amity responded, narrowing her eyes.
I looked up at Amity. She had a fair point. If Luz did wake up, it wasn't fair to put all this on her while she was still healing.
Mya looked up. "Luz is the queen. She has to be ready for all this." She argued.
"At least give her two days to rest." King Jinn said. "I know from person experiences on how stressful it can be to make decisions for a kingdom after just waking up from a wound like that."
Mya hesitated, before nodding. "Two days max. If we wait longer it could be fatal." She said.
Amity looked relieved and nodded. "Alright. So it's settled.. We'll move some of our troops and after Luz has rested for two days we'll talk to her." She confirmed.
Captain Mya looked at me. "Let's go." She muttered. She turned away and began to limp out. I stood there for a second before following the captain.
When the doors shut behind us, she turned on me. "What was that!" She hissed.
I blinked at her. "What are you-"
"Suggesting that plan!" She growled.
I hesitated. "It was the best solution I could come up with to keep both sides happy!" I argued.
She eyed me. "Fine... You're through with the rest of today..." She snarled before limping off.
I stood there not sure what to do..
"Jeez. That was harsh." Muttered a voice.
I looked over at where the voice came from and felt a lot better seeing Willow. "Hey Willow." I smiled.
She rolled her eyes as she walked up. "Hey..." She muttered. When she reached me she began to hand me a hair tie. "You're hair is down."
I looked at my reflection through her glasses. "Yeah.. I didn't have time to put it up this morning." I muttered.
She looked up at me. "So what happened to the assassin that broke in?"
I shrugged. "I suppose in the prison, that or dead. But Amity hasn't really made a call on what to do with the assassin."
"I suppose they would want to kill them after they tried to kill Amity and injured our queen." Willow muttered.
"You're not against it." I asked.
Willow half laughed half scoffed, "please! If it was up to me, I would be the one to kill them." She snarled.
The anger in Willow's voice and eyes scared me. I had never seen this side of her. I noticed the healer Appretince gripping my under shirt.
"Hey. Uh. How is Luz?" I chuckled nervously.
Willow loosened her grip. "Worst... Her wound is taking longer to heal than we thought. Some guards brought the dagger the assassin used... It had hooks on the blade that ripped the muscle in her side..."
I winced, I couldn't imagine the pain Luz experienced with a dagger like that.
"We had to undo the stitches so we could take care of the wound... Luckily it stopped bleeding but... We won't be able to stitch it back up until at least tomorrow." Willow muttered. "And I hate it because Elena wants to hide it from Amity and the council."
"Why doesn't she want them to know?" I asked.
"Because. Luz could take a bit longer to heal than we thought...." Willow admitted.
"You should tell Amity. After all, they are lovers." I commented.
"Tell me what?" Both me and Willow jumped and stared at the brown haired temporary queen.
"Oh. Just that... The council," Willow began to lie. I covered her mouth with my hand.
"Luz could take a bit longer to heal then Elena and her thought." I told her. It didn't feel right to lie about Luz.
"Boscha-"
Amity's eyes widen. "What.... but. She'll still be awake tomorrow right? I don't think I can wait much longer." Amity looked distraught. I knew as much as the temporary queen didn't show it, she was scared for the actual Queen.
Willow glared at me. "We were planning on telling her."
Amity glared at Willow. "Why wouldn't you tell me!" She snarled.
"Because we knew you'd react like this!" Willow argued.
"SHUT UP!" I yelled. The two women turned to face me. "You two are acting like children! Amity you're supposed to be the acting queen! I understand you're upset but you have a kingdom to run while Luz heals!" I snapped.
Amity dropped her gaze, an ashamed look on her face...
"And Willow! Luz is Amity's lover-girlfriend-thing! She deserves to know! What if I was hurt worst than the doctors were saying! Wouldn't you be upset!? I argued.
Willow turned away. "I.." she sighed. "Yea.. Yea, I would..." She muttered.
"My point!" I snapped. "So stop arguing like children!" The two were quiet. "You two are friends and care a lot for Luz! Why does that have to be turned into an argument!"
Willow looked up at me. "I hate it that you're right..." she muttered, a light pink color on her cheeks. "You're a lot smarter than I thought." She smiled weakly.
I felt my cheeks heating up. I chuckled nervously and looked away. "Thanks.." I muttered with a smile while I rubbed the back of my neck.
Amity nodded. "I guess I can understand why you didn't tell me..." She muttered.
Willow looked over at the acting queen. "Not telling you would be a big mistake... But to answer your question from earlier, yes, she'll be awake tomorrow, just later than we thought. We have a few more things to take care of."
Amity nodded. "I'm sorry for lashing out.. It's just..." Amity looked away.
"You're worried for Luz. I get it." Willow nodded.
Amity met Willow's green eyes. "It's not just that..." she reached in her pocket and pull out a note and passed it over. "It's from her father... Harry.... He's..." Amity teared up. Willow had told me Amity grew up with Harry like a second father. "He's coming here..... But not for Luz..."
