Audrey's POV

I walked beside Amyra, who was lumbering beside me for on her crutches.

"Do those not hurt your arms?" I asked.

Amyra stopped in her tracks and shrugged, "you get use to them." She murmured. I felt bad that she had to walk with crutches, her hands had healed quickly, though they did scar.

"Morning Amyra, morning sis!" I looked over at Aubrey. He had been growing out his hair to match dads... It hurt to see how similar he looked to dad..

"Hey Aubrey." Amyra chirped.

"How's your leg?" Aubrey asked.

Amyra shrugged, "wouldn't know. I haven't had to put pressure on it due to my crutches." She muttered.

"So where are you heading?" I asked my brother.

"To the council.. I'm going to ask if I can train to be a knight when I get older." He purred.

Panic began to rise, "you can't! Do you not see what happened to Amyra!"

"In my defense, I only got hurt because of a sprain ankle." Muttered Amyra.

I shot a nasty look at her and she chuckled nervously. "Right- not the time."

Aubrey giggled.

I looked back at my brother. "What are you laughing at?"

"You two are bickering like an old married couple." He snickered.

Both me and Amyra paused, neither of us spoke, just sat there. I could feel my cheeks light up to a dark red.

Amyra lumbered over. "Um we're not dating." She chuckled.

Aubrey raised an eyebrow. "Really? I thought by now you two would have been... Especially by Audrey's diary..."

I glared at my brother. "YOU READ MY DIARY!" I snapped.

Aubrey froze. "Oh.... You weren't supposed to know that." He chuckled nervously.

Amyra narrowed her eyes. "And that makes it any better?" She growled, her hands clutched on to her crutches tightly.

Aubrey gaze flickered in between me and Amyra. "Alright, understood, not wanted here!" He sputtered before backing away and running off.

Amyra stuck her tongue out as my brother ran off, she looked over to me. "Hey you okay?"

I blinked at her. "Yeah... I'm fine."

Amyra raised an eyebrow, not convinced at all. "Audrey..."

I looked away and grumbled. "Look, I'm just mad he read my diary."

Amyra narrowed her eyes. "Audrey I've known you since we were five. I'm pretty sure I know you better than that."

I looked down at my feet. "It's just... There are a lot of things I've written in the diary that I don't won't anyone to know of... Not even you." I muttered.

Amyra hesitated.. "I get what you mean."

"Get back here!" I froze hearing Boscha. I glanced behind me and could see Willow running, laughing and giggling.

"Only if you can catch me!" Willow laughed.

Boscha rounded the corner, she slipped and fell to the floor. She let out a loud groan. "Damn!"

Willow stopped, a mischievous grin on her face as she walked back to Boscha. "I think you lost!" She chuckled.

Boscha sat up and rubbed the back of her neck. "I think I did too." She grinned.
