Edric's POV

Quietly I walked through town. The moon shone down on me. I'm the distant I could see her. Her golden eyes scanned the streets and her long silver hair in a ponytail. Her gaze landed on me and she narrowed her eyes.

"Are you the one who wanted to meet me?" She asked.

"I am.. Eda correct?" I asked nervously.

The Owl assassin nodded. "And your the previous prince, Edric Blight?"

I nodded lightly. "Yea..."

She eyed me up and down before a deep chuckle escaped her lips. "You're a lot wimpier then Luz guessed."

I opened my mouth to argue before shutting my mouth. There was no use in arguing with someone who could kill me.. "You said my sister was alive."

Eda nodded. "Come with me." She spun away, her hair whacking me in the face, she walked down the street.

Hesitating, I followed after her. Not going to lie. I was worried a guard would catch me with the assassin.. After all, Leroy.... King Leroy, said that any person with an assassin would be killed along with the assassin.

Eda stop in front of a big house. It had a big window that looked like an owl's eye. She opened the door and gestured me in.

Once in, she led me to a table covered in letters and maps. "You're sister, Amity, was found here." She said, pointing to the river in Yarrown Forest. "She was found in the river by some of my best assassins." Fear pulsed through my veins. We're they holding her captured? Eda must of noticed my worry, since she was quick to add to what she was saying. "Don't worry. They have been ordered to lay off the princess and not harm her."

"By who?" I asked.

"Me." She smirked. Her golden fang flashed at me. "My assassin, Luz Noceda, was the one to find her cut up and hurt. She fell in the river. How she survived we're not sure. After they found out who she was. She sent me this." She reached over and grabbed a scroll passing it to me. "It told me that she was found."

I glanced up at Eda before taking the letter. Slowly, I opened it. Quietly I read it. "Dear Eda, We found a queen, or rather a princess. She says her coronation was never completed. She's hurt pretty bad. We'll be a little delayed reaching you, but she lives in Bonesborough. So it should be easy. She says her name is Amity. Amity Blight." The rest of the letter proceeded to give the run down on what happened at the coronation.

I couldn't believe my eyes. "She's alive... She's really alive." I covered my mouth with shock. "Emira.. She'll be so happy and I-"

Eda placed a hand on my shoulder. "It doesn't end there kiddo." She uttered. "I told my assassins not to come here... The guards are watching for my Assassins... Every Owl Assassin has a owl on their clothing." She pointed to the owl on her cloak. "I couldn't risk them... They're my best assassins... I told them to head south. I got a letter from them saying they're heading to Ravens Point and they'll say there until Amity's leg is healed. Then they'll keep heading south to my sister's assassin point. In Ravens Point by."

I paused. "That's almost 3 weeks away from Winsome..." I gasped.

"And Winsome is about a week from here..." Eda confirmed. "It won't be long before Leroy comes for you and your sister... Which is why you gotta leave."

"What!? I've never left Bonesborough! I have no idea where to go!" I stammered.

"Which is why I'll be sending my assassins Viney and Jerbo with you... Besides. They have a mission in Winsome they need to take care of." Eda assured. "You'll be safe with them."
