Spiraling

Anna's POV

I stood there in the parking lot and watched Cooper's car drive away. Somehow I didn't feel anything. I was numb. I hung my head in defeat and walked to my car and met Katie.

"What the fuck just happened?" she asked. I unlocked the door and got in the vehicle. Katie jumped in after.

"I went into the restroom after class and Emma ran in behind me. I thought nothing of it. She asked how I was and I said fine. When I finished and turned around she was right in front of me. I said excuse me but she didn't move. I was already in a hurry to meet Eva and she was just fucking playing bruh. I said bruh just move and with that she held my face and kissed me. I swear as soon as her lips touched mine the door opened and I heard Eva. I pushed Emma away from me and walked out to see fucking Christian standing by the entrance with a smile on his face." I told her.

"Those mother fuckers set you up. No fucking way!!" she said. "I'm gonna fuck that bitch up!" she continued.

"Nah, leave them. They're a waste of time." I said knowing I definitely was just waiting until I could get this stupid cast off to beat the fuck out of both of them.

I dropped Katie home and went to Eva's. I called her phone but I couldn't because she blocked me. So I got out and rang her doorbell. Her mom answered and told me Eva was in her room. I got to her door and inhaled before I opened. There she was laying in fetal position on her bed, crying. I advanced cautiously and sat next to her.

"Eva, it isn't what it looked like." I said softly.

"Get. The. Fuck. Out." she said.

"Look Eva, you're not letting me explain. Please it'll make sense." I pleaded. She sat up, looked at me and took off the chain and threw it at me.

"Don't you ever speak to me again Anna and I mean it." she said.

"So that's it? After all I've told you, all I've shared with you? You're not even giving me a chance to explain my side. You're just gonna give up?" I said as I raised my voice. I was getting upset.

"Please leave before I call my mother." she said.

"Call her, I don't care. Nothing or no one is going to stop me from trying to keep you." I said and stood up.

"I never loved you. Never have and never will. You were my experiment." those words left her mouth and shot multiple bullets through my heart. I stood there and tears rolled down my face, she also began to cry.

"Sayless, Eva say fucking less." I said. I wiped my eyes, put the chain in my pocket and left. I went downstairs and straight to my car.

Eva's POV

As Anna left I broke down. I just wanted her to leave me alone and give me space. She wasn't having it so I had to say something to get rid of her. AYO but fuck her though, she cheated on me with the same girl she said she did not like. I looked out my window in time to see her get in her vehicle and screech off. My phone buzzed.

C: Hey Eva, you okay?

Me: No I'm not. The love of my life fucking betrayed me.

C: I'm sorry that I had to be the one to show you but I consider you a friend and had to show you.

Me: Thank you for that. It hurts now but I'd get over it eventually.

C: No problem. See you tomorrow and if you need anything I'm here.

Me: Okay ttyl

I cried and cried and cried until fell asleep. The next morning I got up and was physically crippled by hurt. I couldn't get out of bed. I knew I had to go to school but I couldn't. I sat at the edge on my bed and what Sab said to Anna and I two weeks ago rushed in my head. Did I just make the worst decision of life? Was Anna being honest? But then again, my eyes did not deceive me, I saw what I saw.

I got up, got ready and waited for Cooper to pick me up. The ride was silent but Sab kept looking at me through the rear view. She and I were close so she knew that I'd talk when I was ready, not a minute before. We got to school and there was Anna, leaned up on her car talking to Katie. We parked and I braced myself for the awkward interaction between Anna and I. To my surprise Katie alone came over and Anna stayed by her car.

"Sab, Anna's calling ya over." Katie said as she got close.

"Waazzzzzuuuppp Eva." Katie said as she hugged me. "Not to get in y'all drama but Emma and Christian set her up. She told me what happened" she continued.

"I saw what I saw Katie." I said.

"No idiot, you saw what they set up." she said back.

"Well whatever, I'm done regardless." I said. Katie shrugged her shoulders and said "Well so be it."

I looked over and Anna and Sab laughed and talked like nothing. All during school that day Anna made absolutely no attempt to contact me. She acted like I didn't exist and I did the same. After school while going to the car park I saw Christian and Emma in a corner whispering. When they saw me they dispersed and he came over to me.

"Hey Eva, what's up?" he said.

"Nothing much. Waiting for my ride home." I said.

"Uhmm you can ride with me if you want." He said with a smile.

"Maybe next time but thank you." I said as I saw Cooper coming my way. Christian hurried away as he saw Cooper.

"Eva, he's a manipulator. Don't get caught in whatever web he's trying to weave." Cooper said to me.
